Didn't realise you were only a tenant. TBH does not sound to me like you have much of a leg to stand on. It's not your house, you don't have a say as to how the door is installed.

Did you rent the place furnished or unfurnished and what sort of contents policy have you got? That might be your only cause to complain to the landlord - if the place is not secure or your property is being damaged b
y water ingress.
i had wondered about the security aspect. my policy dictates all final entry doors must have a 5 lever deadlock to bs(something-or-other) not much else mentioned. the lock being supplied specifies 'anti saw bolt' which i'm sure would be brought up should i question the security.

there is no furniture near the door and any draft should be fairly easy to exclude.

tbh the thing that annoys me the most is the guys attitude, after all this hassle he comes along, doesnt do the job he was paid to do then gives aggressive attitude.

Can't believe you're getting into a tizzy about this - it's not your house and it hardly like a prestige residence. Who gives a toss?

My daughter rented a house and any work that was done was always done by complete muppets. They replaced an instant hot water heater with a pump once and argued the whole time they did it that it was correct.
