Been popping in this thread and love your photos. Their coats look so silky . How long a lifespan do they have?

2-3 years.... I have two that are about 2.5 now and I know of a 4 year old one, wish they lived longer as you get such a bond with them!

Well one things for sure, they are going to be very tame .

I wish they lived longer, some don't make it past 18 months. O' are always so attached to their little ratty friends.

Thats the plan deffo used to people handling them should help them find homes, id certainly rather have a rat where I know its been handled, can see its loved from all the pics lol, see mum and dad , than one from a pet shop bred in tiny cages, never handled or see mum!!!

so im weird too!!!!!!! as i always do this as its where you feel the softness best i think? when they first started getting furr I said to my partner to feel it with his lips! lol they have all had many many kisses too!! they smell yum too, nice sweet baby smell....mind you i always sniff my adult rats too as they always smell of fabric softner off the hammocks that have been in the wash

hopefully the webcam will be in place tomorrow, have just made a see through house for them ideal for when on webcam! and the little monkies are wondering about now with thier eyes open!!

unfotunatly it wont be on tues, wed, thurs as im away from home but after than I promise to put it on alot and daily after that
