not had one since I was a kid, but he is a good looking birdy! not sure about the dead one hanging upside down at the top!!
A friend of mine has one and everytime I phone her all I hear is it tweeting away and tell her to tell it to shut up! she said she just tunes it out now and doesn't notice it!
don't they shut up if you cover the cage?

Should cover cage in evenings with something dark. That should quieten him down.
They are vocal and can mimic but takes a lot of patience and if he is older will take more time.
Does he get free flying time? And do you leave a radio on for him. They do get lonely. Mine used to love rock music

He does shut up at night (phew!). Also he does get some fly time in the kitchen although he sits on his cage its a sodding nightmare getting him back in.They are vocal and can mimic but takes a lot of patience and if he is older will take more time.

As for the radio left on, we keep the TV on for the dogs anyway so thats not a problem. I suspect his first words will be 'This is Sky News'
Here is Milly keeping a close eye on the situation.
My mum is the master at getting birds to talk. It just needs patience - handy being retired. After each one she has always said she won't have another but they are her life.
Her last bird was a female and it talked - never mind the usual 'must be a cock bird' quote.
The current bird has caught on even more. The little devil has even picked something up from our old (noisy) dog from our weekend visits. The bird barks !!!
Loves his evening fly as well.
