When we first got our Weimeraner everyone was telling us how she would never calm down etc and even the vet said when he first saw her "Ah a Weimerarner, the dog that never grows up"

However she's now 6 and having been the top dog for a couple of years now it has compeltely changed her, she's not lethargic or slow and still loves a play from time to time but compared to how bouncy and playful she used to be as a pup and when she was bottom dog it's worlds apart.

So my advice, get another dog thumbup

We have a five year old bh called Kasey. The first few years she was a real handful, there were times when I sat there wondering what I was going to do with her. Eighteen months or so ago we rescued a Beagle cross from the Dogs Trust. After a mighty scrap to establish that the Weimaraner was top dog, she really grew up.

A second dog just did the trick and since then Kasey has been transformed for the better.

She still has the odd moment where she goes bananas though!

Our "little boy" is just over two years old I think he has calmed down a little or maybe we have just got used to himbiggrin There is no point in us getting a second dog as my wife fills that role perfectly and she has clearly established top dog status;)
