Anyone using these?
We've just bought a pack of 4 from Loca8or and whilst fairly basic it looks quite useful. Of course if the cat looses the collar the cat will (hopefully) come home anyway and you can find the collar with the receiver. Might save a few pennies in lost tags.

We do with one of ours (the one which goes outside).

Very handy.

However about a month ago she stayed out well later than usual and we got the detector out. Picked up a signal over by the pond across from the house.

Cue half an hour of trying to pin down her unmoving signal in the bushes. Eventually I found the collar she had lost 6 months previous (by coincidence it was using same code as her current one) and then walked back to the house to find the wee ste sat on the doorstep.

However after a few incidences of her getting locked in neighbours garages (she liked to kip on the seat of his old MGB) it is useful.

Also she seems to have learned that if her collar starts beeping it's time to come home (which she then does ...... if she wants to lol).

Just set them all up and certainly in the house they work fine, even with the 2ft thick walls we have.
They all look a bit bemused when their collar starts beeping.
We shall have a little test tomorrow.

Any update on your experience with these? One of ours has decided to go wandering for extended periods of time of late which is odd given the recent weather, so I think she has found an alternate home or shelter somewhere...

We use them. Didn't help finding our cat when she went missing as her collar had been lost a couple of days before. I know exactly where it is but can't get to it. Otherwise they're useful for locating both cats and lost collars. Not cheap but it depends on how much you worry over their whereabouts as to whether or not they are worth getting. Range is limited (obviously).
I wouldn't be without them.
Our cat has hers strapped to her collar in the waterproof holder, looks bulky but it never seems to bother her.
