Guess who was sat by his food bowl waiting for us this morning?!!

A little binky and a nudge too!

His ear is still floppy tongue out

Let's not mention the sheer volume of poo everywhere...

glad to hear your bunny is getting better

Its not just mine that sits by the bowl as if to say this should have food in it, why does it not have food

Hi hope Treacle is continuing to improve. I asked a couple of colleagues re his ear we could all only think it was down due to being a bit bruised or maybe the weight of the drip had strained the muscle slightly. Either way it should be temporary.

Thanks Bex!

He appears to have a little more control of it today- but it's beginning to annoy him. Don't think he understands what that floppy thing is doing obstructing his vision.

Mediciating is getting difficult now as he's a lot faster and more wiley. He knows the coffee table is impassable for hoomans. Just two days left. 1.5ml of metaclopramide is nearly impossible to get down a bunny... He has worked out how to hide under the towel so we can't find his mouth...

Eating and pooing well and has hoppity.

The vet that was recommended here turned out to be bloody amazing and we're v. impressed with the love and care shown.

Sounds to (inexperienced) me that Treacle might be on the mend! smile Very much hope so...

Good luck with the medicating wink

Do rabbits eat yoghurt? I mix any liquid meds for our dogs into a teaspoon of yoghurt, which I pretend is for me.

Then they're more than happy to lick it up!

I've been doing daily meds on one of my bunnies for 4 years on and off, and he is pretty much used to the handling now and I only rarely need to wrap him in a towel, despite some of the invasive wound cleaning I've had to do with various syringes of stuff.

Sadly his teeth have stopped growing and he's started to lose a bit of weight, but he is still chasing food around the lounge floor, and trying his best to lead a normal life. He's definitely winding down though after a long, spoilt and happy 11 yearssmile

11 years must be some sort of record, that's amazing

Well, 11 in February, but he is the oldest bunny on the vets books by a couple of years.
And he has just followed me up stairs to my office. I sell pet food online, and I'm sure he can smell it when I'm doing the packing.

I thought I updated this last night! Did the rabbit eat my post?

He's back to normal now (well, a normal as he ever was!) and both are very settled back at home. Just like nothing happened.

Having them home and hoppy was the best Christmas present ever!

Arse. His shaven ear is all manky and looks really chewed. All nibbled along the edges.

What on earth has happened there!!

So sad to think that just a few hours after this post, his back legs went on him. He was being a proper house bunny right to the end smile
