Sorry, but you've missed the point entirely. Whatever I say Bex would disagree with, the topic itself is pretty irrelevant. I gave my opinion based on my experience of working in a dog groomers day in, day out for the benefit of the OP. I wasn't looking for opinions on my opinion!

Chill? I am totally chilled, I just think it's getting a bit tiresome and pretty petty. The general consensus is that if you disagree with someone totally on every subject you just avoid them, not try and reignite conflict constantly. Hence my 'polite request' that she just ignore me in the same way I ignore her.

But I do not disagree with you on everything! look through some threads and you'll see that, even this thread was based on what I'd learned from experts in their field (dermatologists), so I respect that and am passing it on, not disagreeing directly with you. I've just seen a lovely photo you posted on the cats page, really wanted to comment on it being a great action shot but I think you wouldn't believe me and I'd probably get that wrong frown. Anyway I'm well and truly fed up and pissed off now so that's it from me.

Like I say, it's getting tiresome and I genuinely care to the sum of zero what your opinion is on my opinions.
So why keep replying? Obviously not true then eh!?

I'm sorry if I have read more into this than was actually there. I think we both have a lot of experience but for whatever reason generally have opposite opinions, that's fine and life would be boring if we all thought the same but I did feel when I posted my opinion it wasn't surprising to find you'd replied with your opposing one.

I really hope you aren't pissed off, after all this is only the internet and I genuinely didn't intend to cause any offence. I apologise if I have, and hope there's no hard feelings.

Totally true, just wanted to put an end to the yes-no, yes-no, yes-no debates that have started up previously.

Ours (12wk labradoodle with scruffy coat) absolutely stank of wet grass after playtime in the park today so she just got a bath, which she tolerated suprisingly well. The hairdryer was a bit too much for her though, so we had to towel dry. She's also accomplished the "run away a bit, but not very far, then get them back by shaking the drops off vigorously"

I use the two towel method after a bath; one on the dog to dry her, one in the mouth for fighting and tugging. If I don't, she pulls the drying towel off herself and fights it.

OP, we need the gratuitous "wet sulky dog in bath" photo!

FWIW, I'd imagine you'd need to try the varying dog shampoos (or Johnsons!) on your pooch - I shouldn't imagine you'd have any problems, but "suck it and see" approach will be the only true way of finding out which shampoos your dog's skin/coat will tolerate.

Definitely not fairy liquid, though, as I read of someone using on here not that long ago! hehe

I know I shouldn't comment on this, but, Superficial, I think you might be reading into something that's not there. Bex only ever gives her opinion, and only disagrees with another if the other opinion is of detriment to the animal. Which is usually based on her professional judgement and experience, rather than just a "no, I disagree".

Fancy thinking she's stalking you! hehewink

Edit - OP, if they're old enough to stink, they're old enough to bathe! wink

One thing we did which you may find useful, is train the dog to "shake" on command. That way they come out of the bath, you cover them with a towel, they then "shake" a few times under the towel.....

Makes drying off that bit easier.

Thanks for the advice

I didn't get the pic of him all wet i'm afraid, we washed him in a puppy shampoo from the local pet shop, not sure of the brand in the end.

He was filthy, the water was black coming off of him, he definitely needed it.

Thinking now I might get him clipped a little bit smile
