Friend of mine has cats. Sitting round there the other day saw one on me, killed it. (flea, not the cat).

Now I have a problem where I feel a itchy feeling on me
(this should prob be in the health forum).

Anyway I still sit here now (my house) and get an itchy hand/arm/head/leg. When I take a look, there's nothing there.

Do any of you suffer this feeling.

What can I do apart from bathe in bleach.

HELP!!!

The answer depends if you have actually carried any with you and are getting bitten. Or if it's all in your head...

Do you have bites on you?

The real key is to do plenty of hoovering and cleaning and throw some flea power onto the carpet before doing the hoovering.

Antihistamines? Now?

I'm allergic to cat flea bites and get generalized itching after I get bitten, but before the wound actually shows. Then it starts itching properly!

They then take 3 months to heal if untreated, which is nice....

Antihistamines knock this down to around a week, which is apparently normal. The earlier I take the anti's, the faster they heal.

They are everywhere and have laid their eggs on you by now.

They love laying them in your hair. They are in your hair right now.

Does your head itch?

I presume said friend does treat their cats with Frontline or some such every month to prevent fleas?

If so, I hear from a number of sources that Frontline is no longer effective. Fleas have become resistant to it. Bayer 'Advantage' is what my vet recommends.

There's an epidemic of them this year - lots of wet and now warm.
