There is and has been what looks like a Husky dog (white/silver) by the centre reservation on the A41 for a week or so. I have called the Council to advise as it has not been picked up yet.

Does anyone know of anywhere where it may be helpful to let them know a Husky type dog has been found?

Thanks

That's what I think it is. I'm passing it at around 60-70mph.

I'm hoping you're mistaken and it's a badger - similar colouring.

Huskies I thought were akin to Border Collies, insanely intelligent and not likely to put themselves in an area like that to be run over?

Theyre an aloof, arrogant and often attention seeking pain in the arse with a rock star complex based on people always wanting to fuss them.

Theyre awesome.

awww I hope its not a husky frown

I would call the council again, quite often see foxes and badgers on the roads here but luckily they always seem to be picked up quickly as usually just see them once...

I'm pretty sure it is not a badger. It has a tail and no black colouring I'm afraid.

God forbid Mrs Plumber or her mum see it, they would stop in the outside lane and perform a full doggy burial with all the trimmings. Sad though, I think I would be quite close to tears if I saw a dead dog on the roadside.

I saw this, it looked to be the size of a badger albeit quite silver, so hopefully nobody's pet.

Perhaps highways agency are responsible for clearance as it is a major road ?

Huskies wouldn't put themself in danger ? Oh right then, huskies are well known for running away. I had a friend leave the other day and our husky shot out the front door and onto a 4 lane road. Never ran so fast in my life ! But like someone said they are like rock stats must have all the attention. Our one will be your best friend if you have food but as soo as its gone he buggers off, he is also very cleaver, say you tell him to sit with a treat he will sit then do paw then lie down and you don't even ask but he knows he's getting food. They also like to take the piss out of everyone. He goes in the garden and will run around when you call him in, he won't come in till you get bored and close the door then he will come to the door then run away again.

Apart from that he's great biggrin

^^^ Trainings going well then smile. Time to get a handle on your recall, he's messing with you and getting away with it.

Hope the owners are eventually traced for this poor dog.

Good question. Why do you think I have a whippet, easy breed hehe

I think you have to be imaginative and find things that means he wants to come back to you rather than run round the garden.

Anyway slight thread hijack. Any new pics of him on the photos thread?

I think it's only if you hit a dog.
