I'd hold off that approach. Her growling could've been nervousness and if you start squirting her in the face you could actually cause a fear aggressive reaction. I think you need more time to get to know her and how she'll behave on walks etc. If she does get ansey turn around and walk the other way.

I think we can rule out being dog aggresive at this point tbh.
Had her out and she wasnt bothered, quite happy to toddle on.
But as you say we still need more time.

The wife decided we were going to "foster" and we duly went to the kennels, it was a "fun day" and we met the pooch, had a walk round, no probs, he was "ok with other dogs" and so we took him home, so cute, the wife had decided we were adopting him even before we got home

once home he changed

snarled at me for taking a photo of him, then went berserk at our Collie dog, really vicious, later our BC was in his basket and "max" went for him, wouldnt back off, i (foolishly) got between them and the little b*****d chewed hiw was up my leg, that was 5 weeks ago and ive still got bruises and a jaws-style bite mark

later that night i went in the lounge where "Godzilla" was with the wife and he came slowly walking towards me......growling.....

i picked up a chair but he backed off

we have kids visit so next day i took shorty back and he was as good as gold in the car

Update:

Luna is doing fine, she had her burns clipped and cleaned last week and healing well. She is no longer trying to rub and scratch them which is good.
Leg still stiff when she gets up from a snooze or sleep so thats next on the list for an X-Ray.
She loves meeting new people and is all over them.
With other dogs on the lead she seems fine no nastiness or negative behaviour which is good.
She is getting to see new things when we take her out, such as geese, ducks swans, horses etc.All of which she looks at with a look that is wtf are those lol.
Let her off at a secluded area in case she attempted a runner, which she didn't.She enjoyed a run around and by the look on her face she loved it.

Doing well so far.

We had a rescue hound many years back and a squirty bottle was a good/bad thing depending on how you looked at it. She LOVED squirty bottles and a hose was even better! She tried and always failed to bite the water stream but she would drop whatever she was doing and give it her undivided attention so I suppose it worked.

thumbup to the OP smile

Update:

Luna is fine with her burns, they have healed well and some fur is growing back in the worst ones, the not so bad ones have lots of hair on them now.
Next on the list is her leg x-ray.She seems to have good and bad days with her rear leg and on a bad day will spend a lot of time on three legs.
After massaging it she does use it but seems to knock it back out when she discovers it's ok and goes on a scratching session.Vet seems to think it's ligaments, confirmation with x-ray.

She has been spayed now too and I have decided to put her on some low dose glucosamine tablets 300 mg one a day to see if it helps her leg a bit.Thought it would be worth a try.

As for her wellbeing she looks to be a very happy dog and is deeply in love with sleeping. She is on anti allergy food atm to see if she stops some paw chewing which she tends to do sometimes. She is slowly stopping doing this.I think it could be more habit than allergy.

Anyway see what news the x-ray brings.

X ray done and Luxating (sp) patella.
Needs an operation to do stop the patella slipping out of place.
Approx £800 needs to be raised.
She is on Metacam now until the op can be done.
