Born Free keep fighting but they struggle with underhand governments/ corruption etc. They're small fry in comparison but they do make a difference.

They're worth supporting.

Which ironically means two more rhinos will die to fulfil the order.

You can still trade in antique ivory.

Perhaps we should flood the market with fake ivory...?

It is sad, but the corrupt nature of africans means its unlikely to end.

Whilst its extremely upsetting that Rhino/Elephants die for nothing, its not as barbaric as Bear bile farming though, which is vile beyond belief.

Didn't hear that but you may be right.

How would they distinguish between rhino ivory and, say, elephant ivory? What about ivory ornaments, eg netsukes?

Make it legal to farm the damn things, they would soon be plentiful.

Rhino horn is not ivory, it is keratin.

All the slant eye countries are cruel to all animals, mistakenly believing that animal parts are medicine, I recon we should start eating slant eyes or nuke them.

ignoring the mild racism, they probably think we're weird for doing some of our strange customs.

it's just an animal, it's only a problem as there arn't many rhino left. If they did it with chicken no one would give a st

They would, because they would probably cut its eyes out whilst it was still alive because thats what their god told them to do.

The phrase 'it's just an animal ' is just such an awful one. I find it very depressing that knowledgeable people still find it an acceptable thing to say.

You really believe it is ok to kill animals for their horns etc and the only reason to stop is endagerment?

I trust skinning animals alive for their fur is also fine as is cooking them alive? They are "just" animals after all.

fking hell touched a nerve.

I'm not trolling, but yes I believe at the end of the day it's just an animal. What does a rhino add to my life anyway? you can eat it, it doesn't help humans in any way, the only thing it's useful for is tourists taking photos of it

What does z4chriss99 add to my life anyway...

If we removed everything from the world that didn't give pleasure/enjoyment/tangible benefit to everyone, there would be nothing left.

Quite a sad opinion to hold imho.

Why are you comparing killing with skinning alive? They are not the same thing at all, however well they fit your emotive agenda.
