I'm not trolling, but yes I believe at the end of the day it's just an animal. What does a rhino add to my life anyway? you can eat it, it doesn't help humans in any way, the only thing it's useful for is tourists taking photos of it

I daresay you don't add much to my life but I probably wouldn't encourage people to hunt you down and cut off your fingers.

Another incorrect comparison. Finger nails, perhaps.

Well obviously I can't speak for the whole human race but I'm pretty sure my fingernails are not primarily used for self defence and feeding. I cope pretty well without them to be honest.

hy are you comparing killing with skinning alive? They are not the same thing at all, however well they fit your emotive agenda.
Because it is the attitude of "it's just an animal" that leads to such cruelty.

Perhaps Arthur Schopenhauer has some hints and tips for you guys?

Stop being obtuse. You were clearly trying to imply that removing a rhino's horn is as painful as cutting off fingers, weren't you? It's not, so your point is invalid.

Perhaps being less patronising might win you some support.

Well, your assumption is wrong. The pain aspect didn't even occur to me as I assume the animal isn't awake/alive while they're cutting its horn off. scratchchin

Anyway, this pedantry is irrelevant as it wasn't supposed to be a direct analogy. I was merely responding to the, it doesn't affect me so let it continue, comment.

Good job I didn't stick with my original sentence; I'd written cock instead of fingershehe

Quite frankly I fail to see how anyone can not think that animal cruelty and killing animals for fun/sport or for "medicine" is wrong.

And I don't understand how anyone can support such things at all, let alone say "they are just animals".

Animal cruelty I agree with you about. Shooting some animals for sport I'm more ambivalent about. a lot of them wouldn't exist but for the shooters (pheasants for example) and it's not a lot different and often more humane than the chicken industry.

Whatever your standpoint, discussing issues in over emotive terms is unhelpful to your cause in my opinion.

All the slant eye countries are cruel to all animals, mistakenly believing that animal parts are medicine, I recon we should start eating slant eyes or nuke them.
Maybe we could run Facebook articles to persuade/embarrass the aforementioned slant eyes into realising that eating powdered rhino horn/penis won't make their own pencil dick any bigger?

China seems to be one of the bigger importers.
