The filthy water running off my car when I wash it. The blacker and grimier, the better. Fresh water in her bowl, not interested!

Pegerty would go mad for plastic bags. If you came in with the shopping (pre bag for life days!) she would pratically jump in the thing before you had a chance to unpack the food.

Ours too, although they'll chew the bags. They're not fussy though, they'll chew bag-for-life bags too smile

Our youngest once attempted to mug me for a bowl of chilli con carne I was eating. Sat on the sofa eating it after the gym one evening and the cat ran into the lounge, jumped onto the arm of the sofa and craned her neck to get at it. When I moved it out of her reach she started swiping for it, nearly had the whole lot over her, me and the sofa.

She'll take your arm off for some pate too...

ETA - an ex of mine has/had a cat that could smell chorizo two floors away. Soon as the packet was opened she'd be head first into it.

Boxes and bags of any type.
Anything wiggles. Or doesn't if jumping on it can make it wiggle.
Curry.
Shoes.
Leather anything.
Running water.
Water that can be paddled in and preferably spread around.
Random items of clothing for napping purposes.
Male armpits.

the water left after you have a shower
beef hula hoops
maltesers (have to eat these very very quietly or you have 2 cats sitting with paws in the box/bag within a blink of a eye)
scraping the door to get out just to walk back into the other room as soon as you open it
making xmas trees fall over

Our Ragdoll, Colin, has developed a taste for some odd things.

Firstly, Benecol. He only has to see the little blue bottle and he follows it like a beacon of hope. He probably has the lowest cholesterol of all the cats in the area.

Secondly, Cheerios. I can't have breakfast in the morning with out him sitting on the arm of the chair trying to pull the dish towards him.

Thirdly, and most strangely, Soap. Our old Persian was fond of licking soap so I'm guessing its a cat thing.

His other odd habit is that while he has a nice big bowl of water by his food in the utility room he insists on only drinking from a small bowl we put down for him in the living room to keep him out of our drinks. I'm guessing that he thinks if drinking in the living room is good enough for us its the only thing for him. After all we don't go out to utility room for a drink do we!

One of my cats, Pinto, goes mad for bread and Quality Streets. We don't actually feed him the Quality Streets (though I think he'd like them), we just give him the wrappers. If you unwrap a sweet, Pinto will hear you, regardless of where he is. You must then screw it up and throw it for him to play with or he'll just try to eat your feet.

Ours also appear to like nail files/emery board things. If the mrs. is doing her nails they'll pinch them and make off with them.

We had a cat a few years ago who did that too. Our conclusion was that it was the glue that sticks the abrasive to the board that interested her.

Mine was partial to mice, rabbits and pigeons.

Fortunately he never dismantled a pigeon in the house, butchering a fully grown rabbit was bad enough.

Our youngest likes shoes. Things like my trainers she'll lie down and prop herself up against. The mrs. pumps and slippers she'll either curl up on or lie beside and push her front paws inside. Her boots, she'll try and crawl into, get stuck and drag it halfway across the floor trying to extricate herself from.

They also like lying on my chest and purring loudly when I'm asleep, getting into fights with the bathmat and opening the wardrobe door, climbing inside and going to sleep amongst the clothes.

I run an online pet shop, so our two have access to pretty much any toy they want, but obviously they're not interested in any of these.

Inky's 3 favourites, which can keep her occupied for hours and hours:

1. a dried pea she found under the sofa.
2. 1 inch long spines from a barrel cactus that is slowly becoming bald.
3. a large wire sandwich bag tie.

Honestly, Inky plus a dried pea = the happiest cat in the world.

Pegerty loved these too. She would lick them and perhaps give them a little chew too

Our one loves paper bags to sit on for some reason.
And boxes to climb in, as well as your pants to climb into whilst sat squeezing out a No. 2.
Yes - likes to be covered up; will climb into bags and do that forward-roll thing, ending up nicely wrapped with the nose poking out through the handles. Ditto boxes, or sheets of paper with the slightest ridge to get a nose under.

Also, ahem, warm underwear around the ankles. you know what I mean. (and occasionally on the shoulders when in the same activity)

Back strictly on-topic, if it's food:
Marmite
Tomatoey pasta sauce
Yogurt/custard/etc

and, ew! cat food. Preferably the most expensive.
