I was making enquiries to rehome the dog below ('Tosca') but was put on reserve because another family were due to visit him.

In the meantime I adopted a different rescue Lurcher that was in a terrible state and in urgent need of care and a home.

I have been contacted earlier today to say that the people booked to visit 'Tosca' cancelled so he still needs a home! frown

I'm certain he will make a fantastic pet for someone!

I would take him myself but my little one is still trying to deal with her own 'demons' and is not yet ready for company frown

Looks lovely, and I'm sure when all trained, he'll make a great dog.

Odd looking collar in the pic tho?

"Tosca has moved between a few kennels during his stay with the RSPCA and is hoping that his next move will be into his forever home. If you feel you can offer this lovely boy the home he has been waiting for so long for..."cry

I hope he got a nice place.

Something about dogs can bring a tear to your eye, almost like they are humans trapped inside a doggy body. Ours will sit and look right at you, their eyes so intelligent and aching to communicate something.

Its time people realised dogs have feelings just like us, my dogs are family, they are here for as long as they (or me) draw breath, i hate to see those dogs who get homed then returned for flimsy reasons "he barks" or "she pulls on her lead".......

Absobloodylutely

when we got our retired greyhound we had problems for at least 3 months with him pooing in the kitchen on a night.and to start with with house training generally, he even pissed on my daughters christening photo! We still have him, a mixture of training him and altering his feeding patterns sorted the problem out.
Someone else got a dog from the rgt the same day as us, he was back in the kennels within 24hrs because he growled at their son. I had met them at the rgt open day where we decided to get our eddie, their son was a bit adhd and IMO what neede to happen was that both the dog and the child needed educating in how to behave towards each other but they just couldnt be arsed to put the effort in.
