Just found a Hedgehog in the Garden what to do?

Hey guys,
My fence came down over christmas and I need to get it sorted this weekend as we have the estate agents popping round to refresh our photos.
After moving the panel out of the way I found some dead leaves, I started moving these and found a little hedgehog curled up asleep. Now I need to move him as I got to dig there but I don't want to kill him (obviously).
What can I do ensure he survives? I have covered him back over so the snow dosnt get to him.
Any help would be great!

On a vaguely related side note, hedgehogs are the hardest little f
ker on the planet. I have run over several, (I have a decent sized field out back and mow it every now and then when I can be bothered), and when you run over a hedgehog you k ow about it. Thud, thus, thud... You stop quick, getting the mower off, hoping that you don't find a grim sight, and lo, the little fker just sits there, not a scratch on him. A few minutes later, after enticing the fkers with some worms or slugs, they will happily wander off through the grass. I have taken to walking round the garden before I mow with a big fk off stick making as much noise as possible so they trundle away. It seems to work, a bit. Tough little bds.

Plenty of leaves & such like but place sticks etc around the edge to keep the leaves in place, they
will wriggle about inside.
Good idea to leave a little food close by as they can wake and look for a snack.
We had a family of 5 in the summer, 2 of the young ones hung around come oct so we bought a hedgehog house which they bedded down in for the winter.
