We're trying to trace the owners of a cat who was found by a member of the public dumped in a wheelie bin in Lupin Close, Merthyr Tydfil with severe injuries. The cat - who has since been named Hope - had a shocking injury which had left her intestines hanging out, and lacerations to her tail. The person who found her only discovered her because they heard her miaowing - she couldn't move but she still had the strength to cry.

Shockingly, the vet also discovered that Hope was pregnant. Swift work from the vet has ensured the kittens stayed inside their mother - and amazingly both mother and kittens seem to be doing well.

We're trying to trace Hope's owner, and also appealing for any witnesses who may have seen what happened to her. If you have any information please do call us on 0300 123 8018.

Abssolutely shocking, do you think she was involved in a accident? If not is it a good idea to trace the owner? All credit to the vet these people are just amazing and I am in awe of them.

Giving the benefit of the doubt I'd say it was hit by a car, knocked unconscious, and the drivier thinking it was dead, dumped it in a bin.

Agreed, I would look to re-home the cat, far away, far away.

Dumping in the bin does not seem to be the act of a careless motorist.

Glad all are doing well.

Perhaps some nice petrolhead would like a kitten?
