3 cats & a Kitten

I have 3 cats which are 15 months old and on a visit to a pet shop on Thursday there was this little cracker of a ginger kitten (female).

We have done the sock trick swapping scents and the 3 older cats are fine with the kitten and the 3 older cats are doing there daily thing. The 3 older cats are desperate to play with the kitten but the kitten will not let them near her, she growls at the older cats and hisses and the older cats run away.

Now i think the kitten is scared and we are gonna lock her away in a room to get comfy with here surrounding`s and we will try to feed all cats in sight of each other and continue the scent swapping and give her some free time and access to the hole house for a few hours each day.

But does anyone have anymore advice i could try to make this work?

We got adopted by a little lost kitten a couple of years ago, we put her in the back bedroom with a cat tent to stay in. Over the next two weeks she used that as a safe base to return to, the other two got used to her.

A few paws in the air and stuff, but they ended up OK.
