We have found they move onto the sofa gradually, just taking a corner to begin with, then after a very short time (usually when you nip into the kitchen/go to the loo) they appear to be glued to your 'spot' on the sofa.

And pretend to be fast asleep so we don't move them.................................................

He sits there in complete silence, bolt upright and not moving, fixated on the screen and every so often you get a very quite "woof", it is so funny.

This is what happens when you put a wet dachshund/bichon frise in the passenger footwell of your car.

"Boss, I really want to sit closer with you, I'm lonely here frown"

"That's better, I love the warm transmission tunnel..."

"Hmm, I spy a little gap"

"Oh no! I've accidentally put my paw on you, what can I do now?!"

"That's right, what are you going to do now? Mission accomplished."

I hasten to add that this was whilst driving around a friends estate, not on public roads!

Wow, looks like a different dog.

I agree doesn't look too happy but it must feel more comfortable, no?

Probably. He's a Hungarian dog and lives outside in hot summers and cold winters, hence the springtime haircuts.
