It's Caturday- Post some cats (vol 3)
Discussion
Every kitten needs a bosom for a pillow
The feral fosters I’ve hand reared, Bentley, Maude (above) and Mathilda, had a vet appointment on Friday. Unfortunately Mathilda (who may actually be a Matthew!) has a worrying lump/issue possibly due to his/her genetics so has stayed with the vet. Fortunately the vet also wants to adopt him/her so it’s a bittersweet ending.

It’s an Escher picture, with catsWe had a bit of a scare with Smokey in the last week or so, she began losing a little weight and frequenting her litter box every 10 mins...so a $500 visit to the vets later, has shown up nothing, we suspected a UTI, but there was no evidence, the vet scared us with cat leukaemia (!!), again, nothing in the blood work.
We ended up with antibiotics which had to be administered orally with a dropper( that was fun, wrestling a cat while my wife tried to get her to accept the medication). The upshot is she is now back to normal, litter box visits are down to 1-2 a day, but we were chastised by the vet as apparently her teeth aren’t great, does anyone else brush their cats teeth?
Gomez is gorgeous. Fab photo. I desperately want a new camera. Going to have to practise my black cat skills.
Feral Foster kitten update - Maude and Bentley are thriving. Such loving, calm, friendly kittens. Sleep next to my head every night and come running when they see me. These two won’t be homed for a while due to Bentley’s previous fur loss (my gain) as need to keep an eye on that. Approx 7 weeks now.

Happy National Black Cat Day.
This lady came in to my foster care last night. Apparently she’s shy and hides a lot... she’s not left my lap and headbuts for a fuss and attention. She’s around 8 years old and has definitely made herself at home.

My Charlie has been enjoying the home working, breakfast bowls licked, fires started for him, every whim catered for!
And my black cat: Pantera
Or, as my wife calls him: "you b*d" (due to him being outside 23+ hours a day during the summer).
We have found him about 1/4 of a mile away near some allotments, but we know he spends a lot of time next door (he ignores their dog and cat, and sleeps anywhere - once on their stairs, which added a bit of danger during the night)
