I did a tip run at the weekend and as usual had a hunt through some salvaged bits. Picked up an indoor cage for £3. Perfect for Mum and kittens. Disinfected it and cleared a space under my dressing table. It's not only a perfect fit but seems to be a hit too.
blimey - you're lucky! with our Sveta, even the rattle of the cage is enough to send her running and hiding, she really hates it and going in the car. Sadly we're going to have to go through that torture on Friday!Having had a variety of Mogs over many decades, we find ourselves recovering from the departure of the last two about two years ago, we think the time is right to "re-stock" :-)
The issue is, how many, two or three? Our last cohort started as three but one disappeared early on leaving us with two queens. Thereafter one became quite dominant. So I'm wondering if trying with three again is the best idea for a peaceful household. Also, would they be best all coming from the same litter?
Thoughts welcome.

Any reason you've decided to breed from her? - she looks like your pretty standard moggie, so I don't really see why you would, given the number of unwanted cats out there - which are soon to be joined by lots and lots of kittens looking for homes.I would never own a cat that hadn't been 'done'.

I wanted her to have one litter. And my best friend had her elderly cat PTS a while back and wants one of her kittens, as does my eldest son and two other friends. They'll all have great homes. And I would not let just anyone have one. I'd rather keep them than let them go for the sake of it. I would never own a cat that hadn't been 'done'.

But that's just contributing to the issue of unwanted cats sitting in 'feline prisons' all over the country. We're deliberately not looking for kittens for this very reason.
You're going to disagree with me, but I think you've been irresponsible.
