So glad to have found this thread!

Here is Clyde, we lost his sister Bonnie (obviously) last year. He didn't seem to care but it was sad for the rest of us.

Anyone noticed their feline can tell when we are unwell? I noticed it after a motorcycle accident in 2016. I was off work for 10 weeks, during that time Clyde would follow and sit either on or by me everywhere I went in the house.

When either of our (then) young children were ill, our cat of the day - a real demon of a cat mostly - would sit with them, or even on them if possible as a sort of nurse taking care of them. If either lay on the sofa as if ill but pretending, the moggie ignored them. T'was only when they were really under the weather that she took any notice. Interesting senses in animals.

Hamish been through the wars...not sure what happened to him but seems he may had gone under the car and burnt his shoulder on the exhaust, had a pretty nasty sore bit that wasn’t healing well due to him licking and scratching it so they decided to cut it out.

Not a good week for our ginge Hamish, picked up an infection and fluid build up under the wound back to the vets for it to be drained and he was out on antibiotics and anti inflammatory’s. Then on Friday the stitches burst completely open so back to the vets and after another anesthetic he’s now triple stitched so hopefully he’s on the mend now.

Aww bless Hamish. How horrid he’s having to go through this, for a second time. Lots of love and cuddles sent your way.

Boss?
He is getting big now at 8.5kg but its the little nipper who is the boss, she just got back from being Spayed so my wife took the chance to get some pictures when she would stay still long enough.

Gretchen, Pepi & Beauty are very upset that can't join in the festivities (be pleased because Beauty cheats !) but I won't be able to drive for another six weeks yet frown

Pepi asked if you could please send him PD's address so that he can post her card ?

Beauty says she's not sending anything (she's just jealous!!) laugh

My wife and I have had cats in our lives as long as we can remember. When we got married 18 years ago, we adopted 2 rescue cats, along with bringing my wifes cat from her previous home.

My wifes cat, Lucy, passed around 8 years ago, at the ripe old age of 26, our boy, Freddie, passed 3 years ago, and we lost our lovely little girl, Minnie at the end of January.

My last picture of Minne, taken on the morning of her final day with us.

The house was just so quiet without a cat, so after a couple of months, we started looking, and a few weeks ago, we adopted Toffee and Waffle from Cats Protection. Toffee is an 8 month old female tortie, and Waffle is an 18 month old male 'ginge' (he's more cream than ginger!). Both have settled in amazingly well. Toffee is as you would expect for an 8 month old - she's completely nuts, but just so cute. Waffle is a big, handsome, super chilled boy, who loves rolling round on his back and having his tummy stroked.

A few pics...

Dexter (Bobble, as we call him in deference to the scar on his nose) enjoying some rare sunshine. He loves rolling around on this drain cover in the lawn, it retains the heat smile

Bought a harness the other day and took Bear to the park. It was funny seeing people react to him.
