Gretch - my wife has decided your as cat mad as she is....
I’m only in the village just down the road - she would’ve been welcome for a glass of Pawsecco and to come and play Paws the Pawcel - prize for you and your cat Chris Stott said:
My last picture of Minne, taken on the morning of her final day with us.
My heart sank when I saw that photo, sorry for your loss. Your Minne looks exactly like my Millie who's coming for 15 years of age and is looking very frail. Its going to destroy me when the time comes.

It's still chokes me up on occasion 3 months on... at the time, I was destroyed Its going to destroy me when the time comes.
Mini was a bit of a tubby cat most of her life, but gradually lost weight over the last 3 years (most likely some form of thyroid issue), and eventually she just stopped eating. Despite being a shadow of her former self, she still lived a great life, and she only got really bad over the final week... so we didn't have to see her suffer a long, and chronic decline.
Sorry for your loss too.
Our girl cat has done something to one of her rear paws, she won't touch the ground with it. Probably just a sprain but it hasn't gotten any better after a day so it looks like a trip to the vets this afternoon to have it looked at. Doesn't seem hot or swollen, and she seems fine otherwise, best to get it looked at in case its something more serious.

Thanks guys
When I feel sad, I do 2 things...1) remember the love and enjoyment she gave us over 18 years, and 2) I look at another photo I took of her during her final week...
When she would touch any solid food we tried to find something she'd eat... and of course being a cat, she adored double cream (and evaporated milk)... I know cats shouldn't have these, but seemed irrelevant given she was declining so rapidly. This photo of her always makes me smile... cream whiskers
Now we have Toffee and Waffle. They don't replace our love for Mini, but it's so nice to have cats in the house again... though not so nice to have Waffle wake us up every morning at 3.30am demanding fuss
