Has anyone ever had a constipated cat?
Yep. Due to an accident but medicated under instruction from the vet. It was life long care due to getting hit by a car.ashleyman said:
Ours threw up everywhere on Wednesday and hasn’t been to the loo since. Wondering if he needs to go to the vet or not. We kept him off food for Wednesday afternoon and He’s been eating normally since yesterday. Had a wee but no poo.
Perhaps you have yet to find it!Seriously, though, I'd watch for a couple more days while his body stabilises.
You must (both) be relieved.
Frida and PD were producing a fur ball every now and then a while back. I bought one of the rubber nodule grooming gloves to use on them. Despite frequently grooming them this glove removes an amazing amount of fur from all my cats! Since using it I’ve not found any furballs thrown up.

When ours (gone a few years now), hadn't gone we had to keep him in and after a day or two it was down to the vet for treatment. The accident had damaged his pelvis and reduced the path the colon went and unless he had a daily dose of liquid paraffin or some other concoction the vet administered, he could get bunged up. Then he was in danger time so we spent 16 years on poo watch with him (he was three when he had the accident).
Thought some may appreciate this lady's work that I've just stumbled across.
