It's Caturday- Post some cats (vol 3)
Discussion
Now I love my furry monsters to bits but sometimes they can be absolute idiots.
Today Thor starts yelling for us, he does that when he wants cuddles so I call for him,he just miaows back. I go searching for him and he shuts up so I can't find him, thinking nothing is wrong, he is just being a cat I carry on doing what i was doing. He starts yelling again and this time carries on as I walk past a bookcase in the hall.
Turns out he decided he wanted to explore the top of an ikea billy bookcase. It was a 5ft leap from the banister to get on top of it. Only problem is that it is sat in a corner at right angles to another one making a big vertical hole down the back. So he must have leapt, skidded off the top and gone straight down the back.
Luckily it is a half width one so between us we can tip it to get the furry imbecile out. Of course, he just looks up at us and says 'what?'

My boy is in hospital with what seems superficial injuries but points to have being hit by something.
Hope he's not in too much pain now (having been jabbed) and isn't too scared.
Fingers crossed here for quick and full recovery. Hope he's not in too much pain now (having been jabbed) and isn't too scared.

There is not a chance in hell he won’t do that again.
There is now a cat preventative up there - a very attractive and stylish massive bit of rolled up ikea cardboard hanging over and wedged in so it looks unsafe to jump on and no potential room between it and the ceiling for a landing area. Saw him looking at it earlier and his furry little idiot brain doing the calculations (as they do) and deciding it wasn't doable.

You're my wife now Dave... Edited by Ace-T on Wednesday 5th September 00:23
Seems its just superficial injuries after fluids, X-Ray and monitoring overnight but he's still very stressed - which isn't surprising as he detests being away from home - he's only once been in a cattery and he just sat in the corner for 5 days with his paws covering his eyes, didn't eat and they had to force him to drink.
So we'll bring him home later, keep him on pain relief and keep him in for a few days with lots of love and cuddles.

Ferris is now finally home with us....Couldn't have asked for an easier settling in. Had a mooch about the living room. (which was funny because he came from a home with tiled floors so he was walking on the carpet like the floor was going to give out ) No crying or hiding...Within 15 minutes he was happily chomping down some food and playing with his new toys. Lovely fella with a cool temperament. Very easy going. Within an hour of being home he's fast asleep on my lap stretched out like a boss.
Lola our 9 year old Tabby diva was less impressed....A brief introduction was enough for her. A sniff and a stare that could kill is as much as we could hope for a first meeting.
Gave him a fuss this morning then raised the blinds so he can people watch....His tilted head as he watched me head to work was nearly enough to make me take the day off
Yeah... I’m gonna need more pictures.
Also posted in the dog thread... It was almost 11pm. Today and for the fourth day in a row I’ve been at work for 11 hours. They’re fed, watered, exercised and loved. I haven’t eaten an evening meal since Saturday. And they have the audacity to look at me like this
