It's Caturday- Post some cats (vol 3)
Discussion
Getting a bit anxious now as Ferris has been missing since Saturday night.
He can come and go as he pleases and from time to time he will go out in the evening but if he does stay out he will always return in the morning for his food. He loves being outside as much as he loves being indoors but it's strange for him to be gone so long.
We've checked all the outbuildings and his usual hang outs but no sign.
I'm hopeful he's just having a walkabout and will turn up with gifts but it just feels too long now and not a normal amount of time to be away.

Fingers crossed
Oh no. Have you posted on local FB groups asking people to check their garages/sheds etc. People would’ve been gardening diy’ing etc over the weekend so he could be shut in someone else’s? Put one of your dirty T-shirt’s outside the door somewhere and his litter tray if he has one. Paws crossed he’s just having a ‘day off’ and comes home soon x
Yeah, my wife has posted on several local FB groups and tonight we're going door knocking so hoping someone might have seen him.
We live in the country so he has a lot of ground to roam. (acres and acres of fields and woodland before he would get to any busy roads so I don't see him venturing into town and we only have a handful of neighbours) I've spoken with the local dog walkers this morning to keep an eye out too.
My fear is he's hurt himself hunting something bigger or has been attacked by the two resident buzzards that feed off the rabbits. He's a big cat so hopefully that's not the case.
Or he's simply taking a break from Claude for a few days.

My MIL lives out in the country and her cat sometimes disappears for a day or two before coming back with something dead in his mouth. That said, he did once go walkabout for three months! We all assumed the worst only for the little sod to turn up out of the blue, filthy, skinny and miaowing for food and fuss
Fingers crossed for a speedy return.

My cat has gone all day today. it went missing for 3 days before, but i think a neighbour catnapped her.
Put his bedding outside and litter trays and your clothes to help scent track back. Go out in evenings when noise travels futher. Also leave food out, other cats might get it but it still gives a choice, and leave a window open as they come back in early hours usually.

ooooh he's a little bugger. I was woken up early this morning by a hungry Ferris. Home safe and sound after 3 nights galavanting.
Not before i spent hours driving around our fields in the truck and quad searching the hedges, visiting neighbours and asking anyone that came that I came across.
He's grounded with no TV.

Good news on the return.
Lily was 17 when we got her from the Cats Protection. Owner went into care and Lily was at the rescue place for four months, no one wanted an OAC. Probably arthritic joints meaning she thumps around. Pretty much business as normal in the basket or trying her luck at 15:30 for the 16:00 feed and trying to lead you to where we keep the food. Smart cookie is Lily. Likes to sleep a lot.

Our old Boris (kindly donated to us by a PHer in 2009) is now almost 14 and has hypertrophic cardiomyopathy a.k.a. an enlarged heart leading to congestive heart failure. The vet told us last summer that he would be lucky to survive until Christmas, but he's still here (the vet's amazed) and stuffing food down like there's a no-deal Brexit coming. He takes diuretics and blood thinners which seem to mainly subdue his symptoms. He pants a lot but only very occasionally lapses into open-mouthed breathing. He doesn't know what all the fuss is about!
