Seeing pictures of kittens does make me think about getting another, but the problem is I won't know how my existing cat would react, and due to the layout of my house they couldn't be separated.

If we find out how to post videos, you are in deep mire Chris wink

Watching them and us learn by mistakes with an 8 week old and is quite funny at times. Mine is like a baby miner in his litter tray, so I have given up using liners today as they make it harder for him snagging on his claws.

I havent been down the pet aisle of a supermarket for 6 years. I bought a 3 tier ball run thing and an activity tunnel yesterday in Tesco. It has been really funny watching him try to understand how to get at the balls. Yes, he got his head stuck... numerous times... and it is on video. biggrin

I know exact how my 2 would react. The boy might drag himself off his bed to have a sniff if he could be bothered, but most likely he’d just go back to sleep. The girl would flip out and I’d be lucky to see her again.

Gordon is still sleeping in our bathroom, as we cannot trust Zelda ‘alone’ with him just yet. Does anyone have any tips to help resident cats acclimatise to new kittens? When is it safe to allow a kitten free reign of the house with another cat?
I tried a whole range of things when we introduced Jenson to Pickle and the thing that seemed to make the most difference was a 'Feliway Friends' plugin.

I did all that for quite some time. Torture!

I have shot a lot of video over the last few days and I have to say, he has some funny ways just flitting about let alone when he starts to suss out difficult new things and gets it very wrong.

One good thing. He is really good with his litter tray, signalling with his loudest kitty meow that he needs to go beforehand. Really helpful as we were just in the kitchen eating dinner, and he kicked off. The litter tray was upstairs in the lounge, cue a mad panic run upstairs to get it. Sure enough, a number 2 arrived promptly when he uncrossed his legs. smile

Good kitty.

How about Bonnie and Clyde?
We had the looking after of two of the most wonderful, loving cats with those names many years ago. Your two are very lovely, I'm envious!

Our first cats were a sister and brother we named Bonnie and Clyde. They were the sweetest, most adorable grey kitties and lived long happy lives (22 and 17 years) so an auspicious naming! smile

A work mate of mine (female) was going to call her two 'Muffin' and 'Goblin' - until someone pointed out that calling them in from the garden could result in misunderstandings by neighbours!

hehe One of my favourites films is Wish You Were Here. The scene where Emily Lloyd is ‘just trying to find the cat Mrs Bartley’ at night “Up Your Bum”.

The white Chihuahua I’ve inherited is named Daddy (in a very adult context) I was telling my friend at work today about rubbing sun cream on Daddy at the weekend as he was lying on my chest in the garden. A few people did question it.

Thank you, he is only a Heinz 57 but very special to us. He is so well behaved, he is a credit to the lady who raised him for the first 8 weeks.

I have been watching this thread for ages, so many beautiful cats out there in PH land. Both the missus and I have been desperate for a cat for yonks and your pictures Gretchen just about did us in.

Let the bonding commence, even with a weeks worth of lockdown whiskers on me he still snuggles up smile

Sorry not sorry.

His belly spots are very Bengal esque. They’re very clever cats. Locks for the cupboards and keep fridge door shut clever!

ETA Im currently sat in the garden and my Bengal Lebowski is in the Catio literally shouting at me. And he sounds like he’s saying ‘Muuuum’ when he does it. Neighbours can hear him three houses away. I’m surprised Social Services haven’t been called for child neglect.

Excellent! I like your style! Oh, and yes, 'Wish You Were Here' is a hoot. Sadly though, Emily Lloyd is a bit of a mental mess these days. She was, in the film, a perfect example of some girls in the sixties.

It was based around the life of Cynthia Payne.

I’ve just found out Bob, Street Cat Named Bob, James Bowen’s cat has passed away. I feel a little bit sad cry

I do too.

A remarkable story and a remarkable cat. Never seen one cope with the madness of media with such calmness. Right man & right cat at the right time.
