Meanwhile, in the spirit of the thread, here's what I am currently contending with...

Sox, more often referred to as Sockie. More dog than cat, grew up (first few weeks) with a Springer spaniel.
I see he's wearing his face mask! biggrin

It’s called non-recognition aggression. We had it after our 2 cats went to the vet and got shaved for ringworm. Came home with them and they didn’t recognise each other. Cue fights over territory for 7-8 days. They do settle back down again, it just takes time.
Thank you.

I had a suspicion that it was that but It caught us on the hop! She’s usually very very passive and it’s usually him that gets the water spray for having a go at her...

We’ve got to make a real push with weight loss for them both now, the blocked bladder is almost certainly a result of his vast 7.5kg mass....

We get it with our two in Autumn when the weather turns colder. Think its a combination of cold nostrils and cold fur smelling different when one of them coms in from outside.

Does he have dry or wet food and do you have a water fountain? I’m assuming your vet has suggested diet changes in relation to this. Hope all goes well and he stays healthy smile

I’ve tarp’d up the Catio this evening for Winter and finished the porch for the alley at the weekend which means back door can be left open now when the gate is shut to the main garden. I’ve started clearing the barn which will be furnished for the cats to have as their lounge space. All of these sections can be separated when needed for fosters. Of which I may have two four month old kittens incoming...

Ferret is doing well. Still tiny but weaning from the bottle to wet food and although still follows me is becoming to realise he’s more cat than human baby.

On my first trapping day over the weekend. Must remember a coat, phone charger and a drink!

Had to say goodbye to Webby on Monday.
19 years of grumpyness and we are missing her dearly.
The dogs are still looking over their shoulders.

Thanks.
Done that too myself but this time we are happy that its due to old age.

We have been celebrating her life with our memories.
Funniest being when she pooped in my daughters new handbag. rofl

Cats are in the Catio today making the most of the end of Summer. Keeping watch on my washing, gardening and DIYing.

There's a very similar moggy hereabouts. A friend refers to it as a 'Friday Night Cat'. I
call it the COMC (Cat Of Many Colours) as in 'Joseph and his Technicolour Dreamcat'.

That's, just, like, his opinion, man.

Edit: Can I be super cheeky, Gretchen, and ask you to post photos of the catio & your garden?

I've seen various photos of both, but they're all over the place, so I'd have to go properly digging paperbag

I know my girlfriend would appreciate it, having seen and few of the catio already smile

You’re not wrong wink I have Walter too but he’s less of a dude.

I’ll post some later or tomorrow. I’m out at the moment trapping. Just picked up three kittens which I’ll be hand rearing. Just waiting for Mum, Dad and some other probable relations to take the bait.

They’ve got some lungs on them when they want attention! Eating and sleeping and doing everything they should well so far.

I’m good. Keeping more than busy and out of mischief. How are you and the boys? xxx

Although the girls names won’t be permanent. I need to think of something more ‘feminine’. Who knew naming a cat for someone else would be so hard!
