Just wanted to thanks for the earlier advice about our brother and sister fighting post Vets visit.

They seem to have stopped tearing chunks out of each other

:haha:

They were all Dicks, Richard Bentley was ‘Dirty Dick’.
Alas I’m having to rename them. Seriously going to find this part difficult!! The name needs to be appealing on an advert... I mean who wouldn’t have their eye caught by a pussy named after a Dick?

I will have to get used to the giving them up part, have two four month olds coming in tomorrow. However I think they already have homes so shouldn’t be here too long.

That's, just, like, his opinion, man.

Edit: Can I be super cheeky, Gretchen, and ask you to post photos of the catio & your garden?

I've seen various photos of both, but they're all over the place, so I'd have to go properly digging paperbag

I know my girlfriend would appreciate it, having seen and few of the catio already smile

Please keep in mind I’m a woman with little or no building skills, tools or money. I have built this on my own out of reclaimed wood/panels/etc and off cuts of artificial grass via FB Marketplace et al and on little to no budget. The cane furniture suite cost just £10. The most expensive thing was the disc swing (£30). It’s not straight, but it holds up in high winds and storms. It’s not as pretty as some of the purpose built Catios (which I love) but I wanted it to have a more homely feel so I can sit out and enjoy it with the cats and they can chill in the outdoors.
I’ve put tarps around the Catio in the past week which has made a difference in the evenings temperature wise.

Main Catio opens up from Dining Room French Doors (my TV is in the Dining Room and can be viewed from the Catio sofa)

There’s a small two level playhouse they have their toys underneath and a ball pit

French Doors are mostly left open and I’ve picked up a Patio Heater for the colder evenings. I also have a bioethanol fire but don’t trust wayward tails.

Over the past two weekends I’ve built a porch at the side of the house so cats can access from my brick built barn through the window and this enable me to leave the back door open. I also have an outside toilet and am hoping to train the cats to use this with a Kwitter Litter. Still have a few things to do before they have their own indoor living area (the barn).

Our two growing up fast!
Getting on really well with our dog too which is good.

What’s the general consensus on when to castrate/spey them?
Our vet said about 9 months is best, but have seen Mulder a couple of times looking like he may be trying to do something to his sister Scully during play, I’m not 100% sure as they may have just been playing but don’t want any chance of that happening obviously!

The internet varies on advice depending where you look...

Lovely photos Lazermilk. thumbup I am glad to see they are living up to being fully cat by ensuring the two of them have the biggest half of the bed and the dog is just squeezed in on the edge. hehe

Stop posting photos of cute cats! I can’t cope...

Meh, when in Rome. Here’s three (probably around) two week old feral kittens with six week old Stoat asleep on my expensive linen bedding smile

Pray I win the Lotto tomorrow night so I never have to leave the house and ‘work’ again.

Thanks for the Catio comments. I have a feeling it might be extended in the future.

Thank you smile I love your doggos set up too. It’s so lovely and rewarding to share our lives and homes with these animals. I do feel blessed x

My eldest came to meet the kittens tonight. Jack has fallen in love with Bentley. The neonates are growing fast, have seen a big difference in just the few days since they were found under the hedge.

Anything is possible. I’ve learnt that in life where there’s a will there is definitely a way.

My heart has been melted by not only the feral kittens but my own cats too this week. Frida and Bader have taken on the role of parents. The kittens are rapidly growing and developing their personalities. I’m totally in love with them. They will make the most wonderful loving pets for their new people. I’m so proud of my own cats for their input.

Help! A little kitten has joined our household, the poor thing was abandoned and should have been kept with it's mum. It's about 10 weeks old, and a holy terror! It's like a fluffy bramble bush, all teeth and claws, it's now begun to draw blood. I try picking her up, making purring sounds and attempting to stroke her, but this rarely lasts more than a few seconds. Poor blind Edward the Cat doesn't get any peace, and his food is constantly raided. I'm hoping the kitten will grow out of it, but it seems some adult cats stay...ummm...difficult. Any thoughts? I'm being driven mad. Mad, I say!

Keep handling but I am sure I heard that many feral cats without human contact in the first x amount of weeks can struggle.
