Hey folks, just looking for some advice. We just moved to a 3 storey townhouse and one of our cats has decided that he really likes jumping and sitting / walking along the top floor bannister (of course)!
There's a pretty big void down the stair well and no obvious way of preventing him from jumping up. Has anyone had similar concerns / found any solutions or do we just have to hope he has enough grace not to fall from the damn thing?!
We also have a town house and one of our cats does the same. I wouldn't worry about it, they're usually pretty good at keeping their balance and landing on their feet should they slip. There's a pretty big void down the stair well and no obvious way of preventing him from jumping up. Has anyone had similar concerns / found any solutions or do we just have to hope he has enough grace not to fall from the damn thing?!

If you are worried is it somewhere you could put shelves up? Make it an activity wall? Ladders between shelves etc? Obviously don’t go putting the family China on display. It won’t be to their taste. My pens are up. Just electrics and roof to sort but not in a rush, although will be done in a few weeks. Have been asked today to take in a feral on foster if she can be caught. All I know is (believed female) it’s black and white fluffy and has been wandering for six years at least! Paws crossed she finds a safe loving home. Will update if she arrives.
(At least being black and white she’ll match the Skunks as they will be partying out here soon too)

Got it, think I'll just have to live with the heart-burn! It's probably a 40 foot drop...they bounce well enough don't they?
3 flight drop here. Beauty fell twice, inside 1 flight & once outside, all 3
She might be blind but she is the most adventurous little thing
Cas & Pepi don’t climb

One of ours had exactly that recently, she's had three teeth out so far, including her upper left canine. She looks a bit funny when she shouts at us now cos she's only got three big fangs left. Doesn't seem to be hurting her appetite though and I guess she must have been in some amount of pain because although we hadn't noticed any change in her before, she's been much brighter and even more affectionate since the operation than she was beforehand.wibble cb said:

RIP Tiny. The vet came and put him to sleep on Friday. The drugs that were keeping him healthy were no longer working. I won't go into details*, but it was horrible, as expected.
I miss him so much, and his brother is ???
*Ask how it's done. Though the final stage is the same, how they get there can differ and make it easier for both you and your cat.
