Cats are weird

Yeah, next door's cat used to like sleeping on the beige roof of my old Z4, especially in the summer. 'Awwh, cute', I thought, until I noticed all the fine claw scratches on one of the rear quarters where the little bugger used to jump up!

He’s obsessed with bubbles, always comes running in whilst we’re washing the pots

This is Blackie, we took him in last year after finding out that his owners just round the corner moved away and left him behind, we took him to the vet for a check up and it turned out he had a microchip which revealed his old address...

Aww thanks for the concern. I’ve just about recovered from
Covid. Had it quite bad unfortunately unlike other half. He attempted to look after me but struggled since the cats took to sleeping on him!

No fosters recently, all very quiet. Had a meeting with CPL a few weeks ago about pens etc and choose the design and location was vetted. On hold currently.

Sending big hugs and a speedy recovery to Ali. Your team of medical experts look like they’re taking care of you. Very paws on.

Well done.

Can't believe what some people will do.

Blackie is a fine cat. He deserves better than being cast aside by callous humans. Great news that he has been rescued thumbup

He's now an utter mummy's boy, bless him. Loves a bit of fuss and is in very good health, but tends to hog the sofa somewhat wink

I assume you checked that he had not just found his way back home? Are the old owners aware that you have him?

Nova loves playing hide and seek. However, her "If I can't see you, you can't see me" technique means it's not much of a challenge.

The similarities between cats and The Ravenous BugBlatter Beast of Traal never cease to amaze me.

Yes we checked - when the vet scanned Blackie and found the chip he rang the chip company who checked their records, they rang back later saying they'd been in contact with his previous owners who said they moved away four years ago and didn't want him anymore, they simply left him behind. Between them moving away and us taking him in, he'd been hanging around in the gardens of several houses in our road, we took pity on him and took him in wink

On the odd occasion, Poppy my cat had left us presents. Some dead and some partly alive. Currently have one somewhere in the kitchen, but i think that its found its way into the wall cavity judging by the scrabbling noise I heard. Some of these presents have been half a mouse. We had always wondered why .... did she find them or was it her. Till the other day when we caught here part way through eating a dead mouse.

That's a cracking photo. Here's Ripley (RIP) failing to look quite as charming in flowers, and just pulling off the cross-eyed lunatic look instead.

Great pic of a gorgeous cat beer

Blackie was attempting a Beatles re-union but the other three failed to turn up....!

This is simply your cat pointing out that you’re not feeding them enough. My two do it. Old cat usually presents me with half-digested mouse including tail. Young cat prefers rabbits, so usually leaves rabbit from the waist down in one part of the house, and most of the entrails just by the cat flap. Bizarrely I never manage to find anything of rabbit from the waist up.

The most entertaining one was on Easter Sunday this year, as the kids were happily opening presents from “the Easter Bunny”. I glanced out of the window to see eviscerated bunny spread over part of the garden. Luckily the kids didn’t see it, or I’d have had a very difficult time explaining that the cat hadn’t eaten the Easter Bunny!
