My thought too!If I should go away for a few days or a week I have very good neighbours who look after Furbag. She would absolutely hate going into a cattery because she'd think she was being rehomed (again).

Well it had to happen at some point, Smokey did this again today, except she over shot it and went over the bannister clawed at the base of the railings for a nano second then carried on falling…. I raced to the stairs to find her in the 2nd bottom step looking a little confused, and more than a bit sheepish, no broken bones or injuries other then pride luckily
Maybe this will persuade her to use the cat tree we bought ( ha ha ha)….
One of my parents' old cats did almost exactly this. They had a very similar banister arrangement and she liked to race up the stairs, leap onto a chair that sat opposite the end of the banister then spring back onto the banister itself. One evening I watched as she did this but cleared the banister entirely and flailed through the air back to the bottom of the stairs. Like yours, no harm done, thankfully...Maybe this will persuade her to use the cat tree we bought ( ha ha ha)….
