Our Beardie died 3 months ago, and our Lab last week. Mrs Get is already online looking for the next.
I'm insisting we have a proper foreign holiday first (as we never get one with dogs!)
Oh No!!!!I'm insisting we have a proper foreign holiday first (as we never get one with dogs!)
Not Charlie.....hes a legend in our house. Im gutted for you Steve, I really am.

This was him in Feb, only a month before he died... so he was up for it right to the end!

Op. Arlo looks a fabulous boy. Amazing how many posts say he looks like theirs. You originally asked How soon is too soon.
Do you feel you made the right decision timewise?
We acquired a new cat last year. Our previous cat had lived to almost 20, but the gap between the old one passing and getting the new one was about a month. I love our new one but still miss the old one. This is probably natural but would be interested in others thoughts

Absolutely the right thing, Arlo has filled that huge void. You originally asked How soon is too soon.

Strangely I never walked in & expected to see Scooby or missed his presence but since Arlo has been here I have 'seen' Scooby 2 or 3 times rather than Arlo. Narural enough I suppose?
Steve, you have a gorgeous dog there

Gorgeous - what is he?
He's a rough coated Labradoodle, so his fur will grow straight, not curley. We won't know how long it'll grow for about a year... but he'll probably end up a scruffy bugger. He's just seen his first Pine Marten. Furious doesn't come close
