Having got my 370Z Coupe back in 2013 (My first ever brand new car) I hammered the mileage on it in the first year, realising this was bad both for the condition of the car and also the re-sale I ended up picking up a 2009 Ford Focus for daily duties which served me well for 35,000kms and 18months but it started costing money so had to go.
The Focus was replaced by a 2009 Honda Jazz (Im ashamed to admit it but its a cracking little car) and very shortly afterwards a 2011 Seat Exeo which I picked up and is literally like new. Its an Audi A4 with a Golf Gti engine in and mated to slushbox CVT unit, ideal for daily driving.
Then in January a random choice of a Volvo S60 Polestar came up at a fantastic price brand new at a smidge over 30k GBP I couldn't refuse.
Now move onto April a rather silly staff deal has come up on 2017 Dodge Charger Daytonas the 6.4 V8's, the last thing I need is another car but as petrol prices are slowly creeping up (almost double now than in 2012 when I moved) ive realised the sad fact its probably the last chance I will ever have to drive a car like that as a daily runner. Now admittedly the charger is a 2 year lease, use it and hand it back so its not something I will ever own, just enjoy it.
Annoyingly the Seat will have to go as its now the odd one out leaving me with a fleet which using some man justifications looks like this:
1. 2009 Honda Jazz - shopping trolley/big boot/dump it anywhere and not care.
2. 2013 370Z Coupe - Occasional use at weekends and track days.
3. 2016 S60 Polestar - More for winter use as this is a keeper (summer temps are brutal on cars), might take it on track too.
4. 2017 Dodge Charger Daytona 6.4 - Daily hack through the summer months and part time in winter.
The Charger arrives in around 2weeks time, once ive got that will get a fleet picture up.
Pics of others to come soon.
