I'd be careful giving a dog with sharp teeth and/or powerful jaws a boomer ball.

My mums EBY/Staff managed to carve some lumps out of her one with her insisors leaving some very sharp burrs, the balls are made of Nylon which is tough old stuff and the next time the dog headbutted the ball round the garden she ended up with some nasty cuts on her eyebrows.

Over the years I've machined vast amounts of Nylon and it can be dangerously sharp, I have scars on my hands to prove it frown
I have had them for years with no problems but do take your point.

And why rugby boots that use them are inspected prior to the game by the ref/line

Im a real dog lover of all types, but PH dogs are amongst my faves....

Any of the Terriers - Barry,Daphne,Lottie,Misty

Others - Pestys duo,Druid and others Spaniels/Beagles and many others

BUT, regardless, I love this thread more than any other on PH as it makes my day more often than not....

I seriously miss my dogs, but am very aware that right now is not the correct time for more dogs in our life....

Which saddens me....

Oscar and Ruby. Not often they're sitting still.

Love it, I can almost hear the synchronised snoring, probably farting too!

Don't mention crisps lol, in our house our males thinks a crisp packet is a artificially insemination bag for a mating. Gizmo backs upto me thinking he is on stud duty.
