Need more of Lou smile

I was reading about EBTs here in Austria and they are one of the breeds you need a special licence for, was a bit surprised. Not sure whats involved, think you just have to get some training and pass some kind of test to show you can handle the more powerful breeds.

Would quite like to get one someday, think it would fit well with our Frenchie, neither breed are very high energy from what I have read and they would both have matching ears at least! biggrin
Hahahahaha! Not very high energy!
She is unbelievably engergetic (in small bursts). Get yourself over to the EBT specific thread for more of Lou, artor and others.

Ok perhaps I read wrong about that then... I seem to remember someone on here also saying they weren't too keen on walking sometimes and when they have had enough they just stop and want to go home, which can be like our Frenchie! He can be stubborn sometimes although loves playing with other dogs and will walk much further when out in the countryside etc.
His daily walks on the other hand if the weather isn't nice, he wont be keen to go too far! hehe

Will check out the EBT thread shortly.

ETA - Seems I wasnt going mad, 7th post on the EBT thread has this:

"I'm not sure about the running! Mine Is a lazy thing, sometimes refusing to even walk. Her stamina is very low, after around 10 minutes of playing with other dogs she likes a sit down
I used to attend a regular charity bull terrier walk and it was only ever 45 minutes long because a lot of them were lazy.

They can be selective about what surfaces they will walk on, some refuse to walk on gravel for example. Mine hates anything other than grass!

Training is tough, ours is so stubborn and will not listen to me if she doesn't feel like it.
She is without doubt the most funny, human like dog I have ever had though."

hehe
Sounds a lot like my Frenchie there, although i'm sure it depends on the dog also, different characters etc.

Awesome! I didn't know you had English Bulldogs as well! Have you posted them before? Perhaps just missed them in amongst the others, you have so many cool dogs!

Not much of a size difference between Jack and Blue either, theres an English Bulldog lives near us, but he is quite a bit bigger than Rocco and a grumpy bugger too. Rocco wants to play but he just wants to fight biggrin
Hi, they are very new additions. Had them a week now and loving the character. A friend had to re home them unfortunate.

1 dog walk and £230 later .....

underside of his paw was covered in blood and wouldn't walk on it. xray didnt show anything and they couldn't see anything in there, so just cut a nail off for good measure.

Look like they are settling in well then, at least they have gone to a good home, never be lonely or bored with all your lot to play with! At least the friend can still visit them too thumbup

Blue and Jack look like they are getting along well there, could be some Frenglish Bulldogs soon hehe

Those are my words.
Yes, it’s it raining she does not want to leave the house, if it’s cold, she sulks. If there’s nothing she seems worth seeing, she will lay down and refuse to move. But when she’s having a mad half hour, she’s like a tornado.

First time my dog ever licked the screen thinking it was two of his favourite pigs ears with piggy snout attached.

Are you sure that is a dog? Not been conned by Farmer "Piggy" Brown with one of his puplets needing homes?

Ah, I didn't realise that was your post from the different username. That sounds manageable then, our Frenchie has his bursts of energy too, so I'm sure one could fit in well smile
Wont be anytime soon but maybe some point in the future.

Yes I guess something like that. The vets said about a split nail, but they weren't sure.

I wanted to take him home and bath it, but the misses wouldn't allow it ha, straight to the vets she said!!

2 cases within 20 miles of me, 2013 and 2015.

Fortunately, we always wash Leo down after his walks.
