amongst the menagerie of five cats, chicken, duck and two dogs at my house I currently have a 10 month old Chihuahua staying with me.
I never thought I’d be a small dog person but I’ve fallen in love with him and he’s bonded with me. He was originally nervous and possessive of his owner but now loves my 15yr old Lab and Border Collie X - follows them around and learning from them. Border Collie has become a new dog and it’s so nice to see her interact with him.
His name... Daddy.
Cute! Win Win for "Daddy" and his new pals. I never thought I’d be a small dog person but I’ve fallen in love with him and he’s bonded with me. Our youngest is great pillow for our oldest lab.

Those eyes look like they are asking for help!
Or just walking around the garden:
Or searching (howling) for the rest of the pack:

That gaze occasionally freaks out the non-dog owners in the street.

What breed re these two ? Look like caucasains from a distance.
Little silver one is female Keeshond...... her sister has been offered to us but not sure we should. There's a bit of a story behind the bigger chap so not too certain. Was told by the rescue centre that he was a Leonberger X Alsatian........DNA said 3/4 Akita X Alsatian!!!....but my money is on him actually being an Estrella.
As an aside - I offered a large donation to charity to prove / disprove the Akita DNA results but the testers wouldn't match it.

Awesome Dobe! Always a soft spot having them in the family when younger, will have one of my own someday for sure when I have more space.
Agree about the intelligence of them also, very smart dogs
Any recent pics of him?

Admittedly not, just likes to dig round the side of his bed. He's incapable of sleeping anywhere other than in his crate it seems, he just wants to be involved with everything at the moment so enforced naps is the only way he actually sleeps.Gassing Station | All Creatures Great & Small | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
