With regard to Jean pushing Logan out the way for cuddles, I do think you need to make a point and put her down until Logan has had his attention. Our Millie was little like this, but not he velociraptor that Jean is, and I think you have to help Lgan prove his senior status....

Im not an expert btw.....but I do know how much work two can be, and your pair even more so.

ATB,
Mark
Whilst I agree that it is a good idea to ensure that dogs get equal attention, I don't necessarily think you can impose a status between dogs. With the exception of Rosie (who really can't be bothered) all of the female dogs I've had have been 'in charge' even when they've been outnumbered by males. The males just seem to defer to them.

I'm saying no more! wink
Like I said, Im no expert...smile Every situation is different, plus I probabaly didnt word my repaly as well as it could have been.....HNY !
Oh, me neither. This is just my experience. Happy New Year to you and yours too!

Excuse my ignorance but what breed is your dog?
Hiya 4Q, she is a Czechoslovakian Wolfdog. Quite a new breed, but not the best pets to be honest. She needs constant attention and/or work/exercise.

Many thanks, she’s stunning. Shouldn’t have shown the pics to my wife as she wants one now

He is a pretty good looking little lad, so soppy considering he's never slept in a house. The clothes are only a temporary thing through winter, the rescue centre thinks he will have acclimatised by next winter.

We love the breed, our first dog Lexy was a Rottweiler and she was such an poster girl for the breed. Super soft, loyal, intelligent and such a massive personality.

Pesty - fantastic pics as always. Such characters!

Redback - I want your dog! smile

Jim - I’m glad you mentioned the clothes because you started to make me feel like a bad parent! I see other dogs in jackets and then look at lab and think ‘she’ll be reet’. The Frenchie not so much hehe

They are great dogs especially when raised properly, a chap up the road has a rescue Rottie and he loves a good fuss and is incredibly inquisitive, if they walk by when I'm working on one of the cars he has to come over and have a look at what i'm doing and get a fuss!!!smile

Definitely.

We took Daisy our Frenchie to visit "Santa Paws" on Christmas eve, our local garden centre were doing a donation based photo shoot for dogs with Santa; we were planning to use the photo for his years Christmas card, unfortunately she wouldn't co-operate!!
