Before Christmas I thought we should do a DNA test on Milo to find out anything we could about the little lad.
Didn't know you could do this. How did you arrange it, and what was the cost, if you don't mind me asking?Cati was a rescue from Spain. She is masquerading as an English Pointer, but she's 2/3 the size of my pure-bred English Pointer and has a number of personality traits that are definitely not Pointer (she has to keep one foot on the ground, for a start, whereas proper English Pointers can levitate);
It would be interesting to know what else is in her mix.
Might be worth keeping an eye on the price, when I bought before Christmas it was £40ish.
Quite a nice little report they send you and details of the family tree back to great grandparents with info about all the breeds they find.
Let us know if you do.

This is the one we did a Wisdom 2 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Wisdom-Panel-2-0-Dog-test...
Thanks for that - that's helpful. I imagined it would involve taking the dog into the vets to get a blood sample - amazing that you can get it on Amazon these days!johnxjsc1985 said:
I personally think that people should have two Dogs as minimum they look so happy together and always have someone to talk to.
We got Dave, the whippet, first. Then 14 months later we got Ted, the Lurcher.I would recommend the gap as it gives you time to train and socialize one dog at a time. When we had Ted it was amazing to watch Dave train him..
Ted's a great dog though I only really just tell him or show him something once and he just does it.
Whippets tend to do things if there is something in it for them...

Hi yes they are Irish Red Setters. Branson on the left looks like her Mother and Bogdan is like his Father a proper prince without a crown
Thanks for letting me know.Thought Bogdan might have been a liver flat coated retriever.
I have lived in Ireland for two years and only seen one Red Setter.
On holiday back in Scotland staying with my parents and their two dogs, proper little bromance blossomed quickly between Rocco our frenchie and Mac their mini schnauzer!
Rocco is loving the big garden and empty fields to run around in!
Drove all the way from Austria so was a bit of a mission, rocco was great in the car/ferry though.

Finally... Decent amount of snow in The Lakes, perfect timing as I needed to up my run distance for big race in a few weeks. The Wolf loves snow.
Question is though, does the wolf keep looking back at you with a 'jeez, pick up the pace!' look ? Finally... Decent amount of snow in The Lakes, perfect timing as I needed to up my run distance for big race in a few weeks. The Wolf loves snow.
