We felt the same after we did ours, but talking to the Vet she indicated that if you weren't going to breed from them its better for the dog. It hasn't stopped him taking out his frustrations on his dog bed and dragging it round the front room. hahaJamie VTS said:

I'm seeing alot of these suit things, both Barry and Daphne didn't have one when they were "done", they didn't bother their wound either.
They sold it at the vets. Ranged from £10-£20 depending on the size of the dog! Much nicer for him then a ‘cone of shame’.nickwilcock said:
Lazermilk - yes, Sammy's a real sweetie. Very loyal and loving to his owner; he likes nothing better than being with her. But if he hears something falling onto the floor, he can go from this:
...to a bolt of furry black lightning grabbing whatever has been dropped! I spun the plastic top off a bottle of beer and it was impossible to get it off him! Any attempts and Mummy's little sweetheart turns instant velociraptor with toothache! A couple of hours and a bribe later, we recovered the soggy remains; fortunately he hadn't swallowed anything.
Adorable little chap though - I love him to bits! Even when he chewed the expensive new bracelet I'd just had fitted to my Breitling watch.
Great pic, he looks awesome and I love the pure black colour too, I haven't seen many like this as they usually have the brindle in them when darker from what I have seen, suits him ...to a bolt of furry black lightning grabbing whatever has been dropped! I also know what you mean about hearing things that are dropped, even when fast asleep like your example! Rocco does the same, even if he just hears someone is in the kitchen he will be straight in there to check whats going on and surveying the floor for anything that may have been dropped, if there is then he is on it quick!
Thankfully he is good at giving stuff up if needed, although involves physically removing it from his mouth usually!
The worst habit is finding chewing gum on the street and trying to eat it (Which can be very harmful to dogs in case anyone isn't aware, damages their liver if I remember rightly) and I then have to dig around his mouth to remove it and throw it away... which is lovely! I always try to scan the paths for it but sometimes miss some, he rarely does though! If anyone has tips to stop this then i'm all ears!
Generally he is the most laid back and friendly dog I have ever known and just wants to play or get attention from dogs or people. Even when other dogs get aggressive towards him he never reacts or barks, just kind of looks confused as to why they don't want to play

Just collected Cooper from the vets after his ‘op’. He seems okay, a little bit squeaky and dazed. He’s being given lots of cuddles and time to snooze. Still feel guilty for choosing to castrate him!!
Felt the same way for Rocco but think its the best thing to do if not breeding them, removes the tension and apparently helps avoid certain health issues, still felt bad for the little guy when he was sat in the middle of the room in his bed looking sorry for himself questioning what the point was anymore Trophy Husband said:

I'm sorry but I don't get French bulldog ownership! It's a fashion dog with many health problems created by in breeding.
"The French bulldog has only a single short coat. which combined with their compromised breathing system, makes it impossible for them to regulate their temperature efficiently. This means the dog may easily become cold, and are prone to heat stroke in hot and humid weather."
Plus they are very ugly and generally short lived, 8 to 10 years. My collie was 19 when we sent him to the magic woods.

Lots of breeds can have health issues and ‘very ugly’ is subjective, I think they are very cute!
There are plenty of ‘fashion’ breeds as you call it these days, don’t you have one?
Doesn’t mean they aren’t great dogs in their own ways.
Our frenchie coped fine in the 30+ heat in Croatia last week, sure certain other breeds would cope better but it didn’t stop us doing anything we wanted to do and he loved it.
I ‘don’t get’ why you felt the need to post like that in this generally very friendly corner of PH... it’s about posting pics of your dogs and not slating peoples choices or certain breeds.
Once again, apologies for being a d1ck at that precise moment in time.

Lets move on to more pics of everyone's dogs instead
I can't remember where I saw this, but the 'suitical' looks rather cute and it was such a nice piccy that I saved it:
That said, at AeroExpo 2019 High Wycombe, I met a couple with Lenny, their young Frenchie. When he had his bits snipped they tried him in a suitical, but the little blighter did a Harry Houdini trick and they came down in the morning to find it chewed up into small pieces. Which fortunately kept Lenny's mind off nibbling his stitches...but then it was cone-of-shame time!
Sammy is almost totally black, but the inside edges of his back legs have some tan colouration.
Cooper looks very cute! My god daughter has a Border Terrier puppy; I've yet to meet him but by all accounts he's a very nice little chap.

Not Logan or Jean but this just popped up when I went on YouTube.
This is exact.y what Logan used to do. Wish they’d stay puppies longer

Ha must have posted that on here, he hasn’t been in the suitical for a while, he actually seemed to like wearing it though almost like Pyjamas, which was good as it worked really well when his allergies flared up to stop him scratching his stomach too much. That said, at AeroExpo 2019 High Wycombe, I met a couple with Lenny, their young Frenchie. He would wriggle around in his sleep though and end up with his back legs stuck inside it which meant he couldn’t then walk anywhere and would need rescued
Lenny sounds a character!
When rocco got snipped it was a cone of shame he got from the vet too, he would get annoyed when trying to drink water with the cone on and just stand and bark at his bowl until we went and removed it so he could drink
One of Rocco’s brothers was Black and Tan apparently, like a little bulldog shaped Rottweiler!
Agree about cooper, always liked border terriers too.

They are such cute puppies, we had a jack Russel when I was very young that used to dig beds etc like that too.
Agree about staying puppies longer, they seem to get big so quick and you don’t really realise until it’s happened!

My Stella has been wearing one since Tuesday's neutering op. It's getting a bit stinky now, but the vet doesn't have another XXS in stock. I'll have to try petsathome or similar to get something on her while I get this one washed. Vet recommended to wear it for at least a week. LordGrover said:

Vet recommended to wear it for at least a week. three dayafter her spay Maple seems back to her normal self, obviously with us limiting what she does. Been impressed with the suitical recovery suit. She hasn't cared one bit about having to wear it, and standing nicely for it to be rolled up when needed.
Had the plaster off yesterday and it's benefit of keeping the wound clean is great. As well as stopping her trying to nibble the stitches. We showed her a cone in the vets and she was not impressed!
And a couple from her hols in Cornwall before the op.
