Brian is gorgeous cloud9

Do your other dogs have names as cool as Brian?
We think so smile

Abbey (Choc Lab, named after the corner at Silverstone)
Dexter (Choc Lab, was called Robbie when we adopted him quite young, re-named after the Serial Killer TV series)
Chester (Boxer, already named prior to our adopting, quite fitting as one of our previous Boxers had been called Preston)
Max (Choc Lab, already named prior to our adopting, though he generally responds/runs away to big idiot and put it down)

Nellie caught a Mouse last night!

velocemitch, little Nellie looks SO proud at having rescued that mouse from the cat which she was absolutely sure was hunting it...

Dear little thing - love those daft ears!

When I took Rosa in she had some massive lumps that were never likely to be good news... she went to the vet today to be x-rayed:

They confirmed that she's got tumours spreading in her chest and they can't do anything for her frown

She's not in pain and seems to be happy so she's back home with me.

I knew this was coming from day 1 but my girlfriend is taking it pretty badly... I've not told our 9 year old (human) yet. My logic of this time bomb was inside her ticking away no matter what, so she's better living her days out with us here than in a stinking over crowded council pound doesn't seem to be helping. My joke about one thing I won't miss is all this white hair all over the van didn't help either frown

Oh well it was a bit of a stty day in one way but in a way it was good to just know where we stand. She got lucky too... my girlfriend was so upset she couldn't finish her lunch. https://imgur.com/a/sPgz1L1
Its been a while since we updated, I got a new laptop and couldn't remember my password smile All going well with Rosa.

I've ended up with this one too as she kept climbing fences at the shelter and it wasn't safe to keep her there :

I was surprised this tiny old thing could climb 2 metre fences , she'd just randomly appear in the office after being closed in a run. or going to visit other random dogs runs biggrin

So she came home with me and has settled in really well.

my own dogs don't seem to care:

Girlfriend didn't mind too much as it was so small but she has said I need to rehome her asap, so she's living with me until then biggrin With 6 mouths to feed already what's another 5kg one?

On an unrelated note, I've always wanted one of these since I watched Ray Donovan:

But they're really uncommon here, think I've only seen one once in all the years I've been working here, and even then that was a part breed.

So one popped up via the rescue channels, in really bad shape and going to be put to sleep as the owner was going to Norway where they're banned.

Luckily my girlfriend wasn't around so I quickly reserved him and picked up before she had a chance to veto .

Thankfully he was really chilled out, not sure what I'd have done if he wasn't biggrinhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWD99oS4KWU&fe...

He's got various things wrong with him, going to vets on monday to see about where we even begin :

Seems to be settling in well too

He really will need to be rehomed as he's far too big to live here when we're this over crowded but he's off death row and will be fixed up then moved on I hope smile

I'm trying to buy a new house that has a real garden, if I can get that before Buzz is rehomed I'll definitely keep him. If a good re-home comes up for him in the meantime then I think it would be fairest for everyone involved to let him go. He's in my bedroom now in a tiny 1 bedroom house as Potato the tiny dog is picking on him. The doors open and he can see me from where he's sitting so he's okay but if I go out I'll need to close him in the room on his own. If 7kg Potato gets the fight he's looking for with a 50kg dogo argentino it won't be pretty biggrin

He probably will calm down over time as he was the same when I fostered Gordon Ramsays brothers 'danger breed' dog for a few months. Chaos for the first few days then best buddies. But I was in a bigger house with a proper garden then. This house only has a roof terrace which I leave open 24/7 for them.

When Potato had the chefs dog here, my kitchen was as big as my current open plan lounge & kitchen combined biggrin
