We lost Deedee last month, she had been cancer free for a couple of years but it came back and we had to make the heart breaking decision to let her go. This left the old boy on his own again and he's been a bit lost. After a bit of searching we went to see this little lady at the weekend who somewhat inexplicably ended up as stray at ten years old. Super friendly, very loving, impeccable manners, got on with our old boy from the off.
She's coming home this weekend

Glad you're getting another. We got a friend for our lad but he had to go back to rescue, not because they didn't get on but there were some issues from his castration and the rescue/vet weren't taking it seriously so we decided only way to get him fixed properly was to sign him back over.
It was heartbreaking but better for him medically.
Very disappointing behaviour from the rescue.

Sorry that you lost Deedee. Well done for giving that little lady a second chance.
Thank you. Turns out she has more issues than first appeared, nothing major just little things. Flinches occasionally when going to stroke her and very sensisitive at times with a penchant to go and hide now and again. Have to encourage her to come back inside after she has been out as she has a corner she likes to hide in. Not been treated well and kept outside maybe? Very unsure being upstairs. She's getting there though, lovely little pillock!
Very talkative in a grunty way too.
The best behaved dog I've ever dealt with was Stubby, the American red nose staffie at the back in this pic. He belongs to the brother of Gordon Ramsay. I fostered him for a couple of months and he was superb. His owner used to bring him to my pub and leave him there for hours at a time and has superb with kids, everyone loved playing with him.
I know the staffies/pit bull mixes get some grief in the news but they really do make awesome pets if they're looked after properly.
I agree with the consensus that they are smashing dogs, I've never met a bad one.

Utter bds. It's about time that breeding and owning dogs requires a licence. aholes breeding Staffs to pay for Christmas.
