You need to go back 5-10 years and buy the vacuum that this one has replaced!

New rules means that vac's are now limited to 900w of sucking power... this model used to be 2200w, maybe even 2800w (I can't remember what mine is)

I am hoping mine never breaks!

We got through loads of Dysons and they just kept breaking. Bought a samsung pull along job and was a pain so back to uprights. We have had a couple of Vax's now and they are pretty good. We kill one in about 3 years, but I get my as returns on Argos ebay for £45 . Usually the box has a dink and it hasnt been used. Register it for warranty and off you go. For £15 a year , with 2 dogs, a cat , a teenager is gets a beating but works pretty well.

By sheer co-incidence, I've just about finished writing a blog about pet vacuums (yeah, I should probably get out more hehe)

Would be good to get some feedback from someone actually looking to buy one, so I'm interested to know if you find it useful.

Aiui if you want a cylinder cleaner then the answer is Miele, if you want an upright then it's a Sebo.
That's what we have. A Miele Cat & Dog and a Sebo Felix Pet. I prefer the Sebo on carpet but it's a pain to clean out cars with as it's rather unstable.

TBH in both cases the 'pet' tag means 'comes with a rotating brush head you'll rarely use'.

Oh gee. I have been living with a chow for three years now. I get a little bit of a back up from my Roomba. We have carpeted floors and it somehow keeps the carpet "fur-free", most of the time. The suction is good. I found this, you might want to learn further. Though I find it VERY LOUD. It's too noisy. I can barely hear my TV when it's cleaning.

I have a Meile which is great, to be honest but its a still a task to clean up and am thinking about a Roomba robot myself the 860 or 880 I have 2 pets a Jack Russell and Collie dog, the Miele as you mentioned does a great job for getting rid of the hair, but I have read a lot of good things about Roomba vacuum, maybe it time.

Current dog doesn't shed much (wire haired) but previous corgi-x could shed for England.

No greater insult has ever been made to a Pembroke/Cardigan Corgi.

Miele are very good vacuum cleaners

I got one of the 2200w ones before the ban came in and if you put it at full blast ( suck?) you can hardly move the head over the carpet without getting arm ache.

Apparently someone in Sussex managed to suck up an Australian through the earths crust back in 2009 by accident. yikes

So this vacuum cleaner will be good for car hairs or even the entire cat /small dog if it is in a 20m range when on full power.

Our Gtech air-ram K9 is good, but we're selling it at half RRP price (we have too many vacuums) if you know anyone who wants one scratchchin
