Our 16 week old cocker hates her dry food too.

Loves the meet and picks it out from the dry.

I can mix scrambled egg and dry and she'll eat all the tiny pieces of egg first.

however when she's hungry, she eats the lot.

Evidence of that?

Last time we had some friends bring their dogs over who "loved" their kibble, can you guess which bowl they went to....... And which one remained uneaten for a day....

Dogs are not like humans and thus can eat raw meat, but that I think is not contested.
Dogs which visit ours are the same, they go sniffing round my dogs bowls.

Depending on how much they eat though, raw when out camping is a real pain if you are not close to shops. A week of food is over 10kg for us and we have todo a couple of shop runs. Even a powered fridge isn’t great as it takes up so much space. It’s worth it though.

Our Cockador puppy suddenly went off his dry food around Christmas time at 6.5 months old, which was a high meat content Chicken flavoured puppy food. We bought a bag of fish flavoured puppy food to see if he had just gone off the old food and he devoured it so we've now moved him onto a high fish content adult kibble and he loves it.

I since read that chicken can be hard to digest for dogs so if you are not already on a fish flavour it might be worth trying.

Our Staffy does the same thing from time to time, we stopped giving her treats until she started eating her dried food again. Didn't take too long for her to get the message.

When they're hungry they'll eat, but if they're refusing it's because they think they'll get something else.

Just wanted to give a bit of a update to this. So he did go back to dry food but then not too long afterwards he got a horrible bout of diarrhea. We went to the vets, and after a while we suspected Gardia. He was given a course of antibiotics which worked, but obviously still had runny poo's. He then went off his dry food again.

I decided enough was enough and made the switch to raw food. I found a really good independent raw food store and popped down for a visit. We had a great chat and a plan on transitioning to raw. After the antibiotics I started him on it, and literally within 48 hours he was a much better dog all round.

Its been about a month now since we started raw food. And in hindsight I do wish we did this earlier. His digestive system is top notch, poo's are superb, he has more energy than ever, and literally cannot wait for meal times.

glad your dog is feeling better, my staffy is now on tinned food as h seems to prefer it, and we're happy if he is.

We did try him on raw diet and actually moved him to full-on jointed meat but once he realised it was for him and not part of the meal being prepared for me and wife he didnt want it!

So he went back onto tinned

Cheers for the update. I've been wondering for a while how you'd gotten on. Glad everything's going well!
