Oreo cookie on an autumnal walk today. Still hard to get him to sit still but he has so many interesting expressions. I never thought we would get a dog as attentive and intelligent as our collie who passed, but we seem to have found it with the Vislador.

What a fantastic looking dog.

One of my DiL dogs will spend all day chasing a tennis ball.

I bet more tennis balls are sold to dog owners than tennis players.

In Merry Old London this week, and was complaining to Mrs Redback911 that I needed some open space. She sent me some piccies from her morning beach walk.

In south west London currently, and found some great space at Richmond Park. I did keep an eye out for Fenton ( https://youtu.be/3GRSbr0EYYU), alas I did not see him.

Barry loves a tennis ball, we use proper tennis balls as opposed to dog ones that look like a tennis ball as they tend to be crap and are easily destroyed.

We use Head ones; Argos, 6 for a fiver I think.

Poor buzz, its a shame certain breeds have bad reputations from having bad owners or from TV/movies etc, he seems like a gentle giant!

Do you think you will be keeping him or still rehome if the right person comes along?
We are trying to rehome him but I won't take anything less than perfect for him. If that doesn't come about then he'll stay with me. But ignoring the short term issues of integrating him with my pack at home, there are a couple of longer term issues also. He's banned in a bunch of other countries, including UK. He's only young and could have a decade left in him. I think I'll still be in Portugal in 10 years but right now I have options to move if I wanted to. My pit-bull is falling to bits and realistically won't last another year then I'd be pretty much free of 'danger' dogs and no restrictions on where we could live.

The other issue is space at home, I'm in a tiny house and he's massive and i've got 7 other dogs here already biggrin . We found out yesterday one of the shelter dogs has kidney failure and its now end of life care - https://www.facebook.com/BenafimDogs/posts/7469441...

If it wasn't for Buzz here she could have come home with me for however many weeks she has. Right now that's impossible frown

We buy job lots of used ones off ebay, usually 30 for £10- £15 ,Grizz likes to pluck them til they are bald.

Thank you. For some reason I don’t actually take many of her plus I’ve not been able to post photos on here recently as the upload system was playing up. I’ll try to remember to take more from now on. I hope you’re keeping well smile

Ok ,thank you. It’s coming up for 6 years since I lost Holly but I am still looking after friends dogs when they are on holiday. Lola and Rebus are frequent visitors. Lola is 10 and Rebus 13 at the end of the month.

Thanks for the comments.

I have to say, this has turned out well. Vislador : Hungarian Visla crossed with Labrador.

You get them in red or black, dependant on which colour dominates during breeding. Most are red.

He is sleek, attentive and VERY clingy ( velcro dog ). He is also a greedy bd ( labrador traits ) and cant be trusted around food.
