We got something like this for when we drove back to UK earlier this year, its good and saves messing up/scratching the seats, not sure it will help with anxiety for the dogs at all but at least helps with the mess in the car

A friend has something similar for their Frenchie, it's a kind of hamock as he doesn't travel too well either, more just car sick as opposed to any anxiety, the wife was thinking of getting one for our next big car journey

I'd recommend one, although Rocco has never had any car sickness or anxiety etc, he actually seems to enjoy the car looking out the window and eventually settles down to sleep, he pretty much slept the whole way from Vienna to Scotland in January! The lucky bd! hehe

They have slots to put the seat belt through too.

I stayed at my girlfriends last night so Buzz slept at the shelter. I went there tonight with all my own dogs so he came out a walk a couple of hours then home with us.

He started his silly games again, I was getting ready to time out him to the bedroom - video - https://imgur.com/a/BDUZHiw

Perhaps a lightbulb moment has went off in his head, "he's not joking when he says he'll put me in the bedroom" biggrin

He's calmed right down and went to sleep smile

Had to say goodbye to our little girl today. After a few months dealing with Cushing's disease, she caught pneumonia yesterday and the vet had to make the call this morning as she was rapidly going down hill bless her.
I know everyone says their dog is the best (and they're right) but she was about as perfect dog as you could get, and her absence is going to leave a big hole in our lives after 13 years. After the absolute crushing devastation of losing her rescue sister last year, I'm not sure I'm up for getting another pup anytime soon

I know the feeling. I had to make "THE" decision in April. She helped. She'd never asked for much since we rescued her, but the look on her face said it all. it said "end it,now please".
Like you , I had no desire to get another dog so soon. But one day we were passing an RSPCA site and we looked in. My dog of choice is a Cairn, but they had a Westy looking for a home. Sadly, it had a problem with younger children. But walking past the cages, one little dog shot out, wagged a tail ,shot back in and then stood looking at me. I was taken in. We asked to see her . Lexi as we now know her shot into the greeting room and then decided that we might be interesting. She'd spotted/sniffed out my treat pocket, and then decided Swimbo was someone Lexi wanted to meet. Swimbo was smitten. Lexi is a mixture of the two breeds we'd never thought of- JRT/yORKY cross.
So before you you say -"no more", never forget ,that one day a dog-be it pup or rescue may decide ( like Lexi) , that YOU are the person for it/she/he. Relax- dogs are like the Borg- resistance is futile. Swimbo has fallen under the spell of a dog , and she's not a dog lover.
