She had an ulcer on her right eye, caused most likely by some kind of trauma, ie scratching it.
For the past 3 weeks it has been aggressively treated with 2 lots of drops but it just wouldn't go away, so in the end she needed the op, from what I can gather from the vet who talks bloody fast and currently through a mask, the ulcer is shaved off, the third eyelid is pulled up or down (don't know which) and stitched temporarily over the eye to protect it whilst it heals, this will for be approx 4 weeks.
So currently as well as being deaf she can only see through one eye, poor thing.
Oh yes, I've heard about that op - there was talk of one of my dogs having it when they had an ulcer. Fortunately, it healed without the op. Poor Daisy, give her a squidge from me.For the past 3 weeks it has been aggressively treated with 2 lots of drops but it just wouldn't go away, so in the end she needed the op, from what I can gather from the vet who talks bloody fast and currently through a mask, the ulcer is shaved off, the third eyelid is pulled up or down (don't know which) and stitched temporarily over the eye to protect it whilst it heals, this will for be approx 4 weeks.

Great to see....is that a pal or an addiiton with your Wire?
Thanks. He's our little rescue from Spain. Sadly, suffers from chronic epilepsy, but still seems bulletproof. He's a great companion for the wire, and we love him to bits. Well, both of them.Great to see....is that a pal or an addiiton with your Wire?
Even with the newly discovered addiction to cowpats.
