We followed the crate routine and one night he decided he didn’t like it. Cried all night. Literally. We resisted going downstairs. Next day he was shattered as were we biggrin. Next night same and again. Caved. Cavapoo, very clingy smile
Not sure how much of it is the Cab, but the 'apoo' bit it's bred to be under your feet the whole day. Our tiny idiot hasn't been left alone for about 6 years now.

Mrs Adenauer had her camera with her in the garden yesterday when the dogs started to play.

It's no wonder we don't get many people snooping around our house, the black one (Red) sounds like a bloody Dinosaur when they do this. laugh

Red is absolutely beautiful. Lily and Bruce both go all toothy when they play a certain way.
But only with me. They won't play with each other.
Despite Bruce being twice Lily's weight, she's very much in charge and won't entertain letting him play with her.

Poor dog.

I don't know what that means as I'm an innocent chap. biggrin

We got him from a farm five years ago, we should have got two or three, big mistake that we didn't, he has a lovely temperament, unlike his mate, Lemmy who's an Alsatian, Retriever, Lurcher, Norman Bates, cross.

I just want to say to everyone, thank you for making this the best thread on PH. Every dog in this thread so evidently has such character and its owner such stories to tell.

Until recently, I was never a dog person. I never grew up around any dogs, and didn't really know anything about "having" them until my partner's dad got a Golden Retriever a couple of years ago and we got stuck with helping them look after it and whatnot.

Last August, we got Coco. And I cannot imagine my life without her. Or dogs in general. She eats poo and very occasionally pees on the kitchen floor overnight, but I love her more than life itself.

Here she is with said Golden. She's probably sad because we told them both to calm their t*ts.

And "when are you going to throw these balls for me, dad?"

Dogs make a family I think.

It took me 5 years (and a pandemic) to convince my fiancée we needed a dog. She's always been a cat person but is so besotted with Geoffrey.

Coming up to 8 months old and so fking bouncy. Very intelligent, which makes it all the more frustrating when he flat out ignores you. He's still wonderful though.

Meg has discovered her inner Lab and has now decided she likes pond swimming. This is her sad face when being informed it is now bath time.

Thats how our Husky and Northern Inuit play, you see people turning around and diverting if they see them playing.

What a lovely post! We too hadn’t realised the true joy of doggos until the middle of last year. Now, like you, I couldn’t imagine life without her. Coco looks a beautiful girl! Welcome to the best thread on PH!

About six months in with this one...
Ah, more information please!
Rescued from a local-ish stray centre who said she was lazy, pulled on a lead and was wary of new people. Turns out she's a wee ball of fuss and love, walks perfectly on a lead and spends half the day running about like an idiot, either bounding about the local fields or chasing her frisbee... Then the other half getting Right On Yes Right Hang On Let Me Get a Bit Closer cuddled into one of us.

11 and a half but no-one has told her that ...

Also a bloody brilliant guard dog, barks her head off to let us know if anyone comes up the drive.
That's lovely. Thank you for giving her a new home.
