Had a minor infection in the socket last week but that’s gone. Checkup next Monday and hopefully she can have her toys back. She’s ball trained so trying to get her to do what I want without a ball has been interesting.
She’s taken to running off with my shoes - she doesn’t chew them, she just licks them then leaves them in the garden.

Gorgeous as usual, glad she is on the mend. Lottie stole one of my walking shoes the other day. When I went to put it on I realised she had dropped it in the water bowl at some point as it was sopping wet. She'd also chewed half the lace off - love her.

My little babydog got his first clear round this weekend

Only his second show! Came 6th of 31 dogs / mostly Grade 7 (he’s Grade 2).

It’s extra special because he’s a really promising sports pup who has spent a year having multiple surgeries and recoveries - unsure what his agility future will be. This is a ‘special’ class for older/younger/recovery dogs where they don’t do quite as much.

So in all, not bad for just a few months training ??

hi everyone,

I am not 100% sure this worked, and if not i apologise i'll have another go.

I've been reading piston heads for 15years + i reckon, and i've never felt the urge to comment, apart from here.

Just looking at all your dog pics, i can now see the joy and pride they bring you.

This is Teddy, 11months old, boxer staffy cross. Totally changed our lives, and got us a lot more active

he seems to have got mostly the best bits.

He's very gentle, but a bit clumsy, he can do all the commands, when he thinks there;s treats(bit like a teenager, selective hearing)

He's just getting to that age where we can run him a little harder, play chase a little longer, and tire him out.

thing is, probably like a lot of us, i want his character to come out, i want him to be excited and pleased to see people.

I just have to be aware not everyone feels the same, and sometimes on the lead is the only way to meet.

yes, we quickly realised we had lost all control.

Rules like "no sofa" changed to "only with a blanket"

I'm sure we treat him better than both our kids(21 and 17), but then in general he is more pleased to see us daily lol

This guy is off to see the behaviourist this afternoon. Can be all sweetness a light when he wants to be, but is stubborn as anything and wont do things if its not on his terms.

Also has a real issue with other dogs and can be very unpredictable. He wants to be social, loves people and dogs, but introduce him and he can either love them or hate them and ultimately tries to snap at them. We nailed it down to male dogs (intact) and also submissive dogs. If they fall into those categories he is a horror dog.

Hopefully the session later will help.

You wouldn't think butter melted in his mouth!

Hope the training helps, like you say sometimes it's finding that trigger

our dog can meet one person/dog, and he's calm as a cucumber, the next combo he's litterally choking himself to say hello!

He is a soppy sod normally, just got a evil streak in him. Prior to his brother coming along it wasn't an issue, but since he has got a younger sibling he has developed this trait. Issue is his little brother is very well behaved but they sometimes have this little pack mentality going which is not heathy.

its funny isn't you. You would think its simple to understand why they react in different ways, but could be anything that sets them off.
