I have a couple of squirrels in the tree outside my flat. More than once I've needed to scare of a couple of the local moggies from the bottom of the tree.

My whippet is hell bent on catching them too!

Their speed and agility keeps them pretty safe.

The cheeky squirrels tap on the window for peanuts.

We see far more wildlife being back in London than we ever did living 'in the country'.

Up ladder, changing a light fitting, and i glanced down at our car.

Just perched on the roof, sorry don't know what it is, but so cool.

A poster earlier on mentioned bats in the evening, we also get that 20-30 mins of them low flying between the houses and trees, if you stand in the garden the come so close. very cool as well

That's probably because they're losing their natural habitat through human encroachment/urban sprawl and have had to adapt their behaviour. Young squirrels are naturally fearless and inquisitive, older animals usually stay well away.

We have had a Sparrowhawk take a blackbird from the garden as we watched, it then proceeded to fly into our patio window! After a few seconds of shock, it managed to take off and disappeared over the fence. It has since been back a couple of times, sitting on the fence.

That is true, a couple of weeks ago I had just got into bed and could hear a god awful shrieking. Squirrel up the tree outside my bedroom window, two cats circling at the bottom of the tree. My water pistol sorted them out (they st all over the place).

Last week this guy sat sunbathing in the garden for about 10 mins before wandering off.

I was parked up in the middle of London a few years ago and a fox came strolling past me on the pavement in full daylight as if it didn't have a care in the world.

We have pipstrelle bats somewhere, could be the neighbours, don't know tbh, but we get a brilliant aerial display around our garden every evening just as dusk falls.
Great to just stand and watch for 15 minutes or so with a beer, before it gets too dark to see them. Completely silent in flight, (well except for their sonar which I can't hear)
We have some that live in the neighbour's roof. Come out each evening and buzz the gardens for insects.
Get a Bat Detector, you can hear their sonar clear as day. It's very noisy though when they're all hunting !

Just been in to the garage this morning to find a baby pigeon sat on the floor surrounded by great piles of it's own st. Must have come in yesterday afternoon and been there all night. Thankfully it seemed ok, I opened the garage door and off it went with no issues.

Just got to clean up all the crap now frown
