My current situation is fluid and I couldn't give a hound a home with any long term commitment and I don't think that is fair!

So would love to have a dog for a weekend or do dog walks and I know these are available, but wondered if there are other options?

TIA

There's a website called "borrowmydog" or something like that (unless that's what you already meant?).

Also a lot of the rescues are crying out for people to help walk their dogs - not just the big ones but the indy/breed-specifics as well (in fact some of the big ones seem to want too much of a commitment before they will take you on).

Volunteer at a rescue centre. They always need dog walkers.

You will get attached!

We have been looking after our daughter's Scottie, Basil, for the last 6 weeks as she is having work done on the house down in Liverpool - he has become part of the family and totally accepted by our other dogs. My wife is distraught at having to give him up this weekend - he's an utterly beguiling little dog mind, which doesn't help

The Cinnamon Trust match volunteers with elderly and terminally ill people who can't walk their dogs.
